In typical Lich form, a Necromancer (center) loots an Athican Paladin's corpse while his Relic pet keeps watch.
The Necromancer is the most versatile of the intelligence casters. A Necromancer can expect to fulfill the role of DPS, CC, puller/tagger and wipe protection, sometimes all at the same time. The Necromancer is also perhaps the best solo class, capable of killing things and farming gear earlier and easier than anyone else. With unmatched DoT's, a strong Pet, great undead nukes, and amazing utility spells, the Necromancer is a force to be reckoned with at any level.
Starting Statistics
The Necromancer class receives 30 starting points to distribute in the various stats. Stats important to a well functioning Necromancer include Charisma, Intelligence and Stamina. Since intelligence is easier to max than Charisma, and avoiding resists is so important, the majority of your starting stat points should be spent on Charisma.
