Pure caster

Pure casters are those character classes that predominantly use magic to cause damage to their foes although they can cause some damage using melee attacks, pure casters are considered to be intelligence based spellcasters. Weapons allowed to these classes are usually limited to piercing and 1 or 2 hand blunt, they are not high damage and are carried usually, for the buffs and/or saves that the item carries. Pure casters generally have low AC, HP and attack ability.
