Find Haryn (Stinger's Bog at 615,1066 •) .
You say, 'Hail, Haryn'
Haryn says, 'Ah, you've returned!' He glances nervously over his shoulder. 'What did they say? Can we leave this place?'
You say, 'They said you couldn't come back.'
Haryn says, 'No! Oh no, no! Those--what was that?' Haryn's ears perk up. 'They're upon us and we can't flee to the wastes. I hope you're ready for a fight!'

Journal Text: The Grobb hunters have caught up with Haryn! I must defend him if I'm to learn more about his situation.
Four a Grobb initiate (Stinger's Bog •) will attack Haryn from all sides. Kill them!
Sometimes you will "win" this event and he will simply bug out and not let you progress in the quest. You will be forced to do the event over after time passes.
Haryn wipes blood from his muzzle and gives one of the corpses a kick. 'Hah! It's been a while since I've had a good fight.'
You say, 'Hail, Haryn'
Haryn says, 'It seems you've helped me again, <Player Name>. Thank you. You've bought us more time. What's more...' He looks at the dead Grobb hunters. ' given that the other vah won't speak with me, it seems we'll have to act alone.'
You say, 'What do you mean?'
Haryn points to Grobb. 'I'm not the only one they were hunting. Earlier, when I was in Grobb to, er, 'forage' for supplies, I saw them carry in a vah. Gold coloration, ear tufts. You can't miss him, which is good because we've got to go get him. I'd hoped to have help from my friends but it seems you're the only one who's got any to spare.'
- You say, 'What's so important about him?'Haryn says, 'I've never seen him before.' Seeing your confusion, he continues. 'I'll explain more later. For now, we've got a rescue to plan.'
- You say, 'I want to help, but I don't want to anger Grobb.'Haryn says, 'Then we won't get caught. Nobody has to get hurt. As for those hunters... they came out here to hunt something that killed them. As far as Grobb's concerned, they only have themselves to blame.'
- You say, 'I need to know what I'm getting in to, Haryn. Explain more *now* if you want my help.'Haryn's ears dip, but he nods. 'I suppose you do, at that.' He shrugs. 'In honesty, there's not much to tell. There are very few of my people left. We had only the caves in the lands of magic, along with a small camp of... less reputable folk... in the mountains near Tarhyl's wastes. When the Lands of Magic were destroyed, it made the latter camp all that was left.'
- You say, 'Less reputable folk?'Haryn holds up his hands. 'Please, worthy! We do not have this much time! I promise I will answer all of your questions later but this is too urgent to wait on so much talk.'
You say, 'Okay. How do we save him?'
Haryn says, 'I overheard a troll say he was being taken to Grandmaster Vatziik.' Haryn motions in the air with a claw. 'If the weapon merchants are here, and the forge is here, they make a line--follow it north, to the tunnels where you'll find Vatziik. There are too many to fight. You'll need to sneak in if they don't trust you.'
You say, 'What do I do once I reach him?'
Haryn says, 'That's the hard part.' He reaches into a pocket and pulls out a broken amulet. The vah's ears lower some as he looks at it. 'This... this was broken, and will no longer work. If we repair it, it should be sufficient to save him--and you too, since you'll reveal yourself when you hand it to him. There's enough magic in it to work one last time, if we find the right power source.' Haryn snorts ruefully. 'This is the first time I've been glad they let me keep it, and that I couldn't bring myself to throw it away.'
You say, 'What power source?'
Haryn says, 'The amulet was from the Lands of Magic, before they were destroyed. We'll need likewise to restore it. Creatures in the Warpstone Caverns have the right sort of manastones for it. The cecuvians are the meanest and they're greedy, so that's where I'd start. If they've got a ruler, he'd probably be the brighest star.'
You say, 'So get a mana stone, then bring it back to you?'
Haryn nods. 'Exactly. The cecuvians aren't as dangerous as the hunters we just fought, but there are a whole lot of them and I won't be with you. Be careful.'

Journal Text: Haryn revealed a little more about his situation: A vah has been captured by Grobb, and this vah is especially important to Haryn. He has a necklace, called a Mark, that can be used to rescue the captive, but it needs to be recharged to work. I'm to seek out a mana stone in the warpstone caverns, likely from the Cecuvians or their leader, then bring it back to Haryn.
Gather and give Haryn:
- Mana Stone
Haryn takes the stone in one hand and his amulet in the other, then clutches his hands together. Blue light filters through his already-white fur, giving it a surreal, ethereal quality. The light fades after a moment. Haryn opens his hands--the crystal is gone. There is only dust and the lightly-glowing amulet. Haryn gives it to you. 'There. This should work at least one last time. Go, hurry, give it to the vah. It'll take you both to the wastes. I'll meet you there. Good luck!'
You receive Mark of the Vah from Haryn.

Journal Text: Haryn used the mana stone to recharge the Mark, then entrusted it to me. I'm to give it to the vah captive in Grobb, likely located near Grandmaster Vatziik.
You say, 'Where is he again?'
Haryn says, 'I overheard one of them say he was being taken to Grandmaster Vatziik.' Haryn motions in the air with a claw. 'If the weapon merchants are here, and the forge is here, they make a line--follow it north, to the tunnels where you'll find Vatziik. There are too many to fight, so you'll need to sneak in if they don't trust you.'
Find Grandmaster Vatziik (Grobb at 497, -630 •) . At his feet are two vah lying on the ground.
Select one of the Vah and give them the Mark of the Vah, which will cause you to immediately to zone to Southern Waste of Tarhyl.
You place the Mark around the neck of one of the vah, but the glow quickly expands to cover both and you along with them. The world distorts and fades away...
Your faction standing with Vah Rehn Survivors has gotten better!
You gain 19,550 experience!!

Journal Text: I gave the Mark to one of the vah captives and luckily it worked on both. I should speak with the vah scouts in the wastes, where Haryn said he would meet me.
