Find a traveler (Southern Waste of Tarhyl at 1295, 1230, -22 • Vah Rehn camp) .
You say, 'How can I free Vahir Ghan?'
a traveler says, 'Once I have retempered the blades, you must head to Misery. He is imprisoned somewhere inside, held in stasis by the flickering wisps of light which litter the zone. Eliminate the lights, then unlock his restraints with a madness-cursed key carried by some of the stronger denizens of the area. When you do that, place the blade in his left hand and give him a Mark from Lyjan. Those things together will free him.'
Find Vahir Ghan (Halls of Misery at -565, -20, -70 • Room under The First Watcher).
You say, 'Hail, Vahir Ghan'
This unconscious vah is shackled to the floor.
Gather and give Vahir Ghan:
- A Drained Shir Blade or A Weakened Shir Blade
- Mark of the Vah
- Key of Madness
You unlock Ghan's shackles, place the sword in his left hand, and lay the Mark around his neck. It begins to glow.
