Saving Sorysia Laythen
From SoDWiki
Jump to navigationJump to searchPart of the third set of hidden presences. Any Sivakian in the castle and possibly any of the elite Sivakians but that's unconfirmed. Very easy to spawn. If you see a Hateful Eye drop off the shaman mobs (it's pretty common), grab it. You're going to need it soon. This is not for a side quest so don't consider it optional. If you don't find it now, you'll just have to go back and get it.

Walkthrough
Find a hidden pressence in Ruins of First City and hail it to spawn Sorysia Laythen.
You say, 'Hail, a hidden presence'
a hidden presence says, 'Leave me be!'
You say, 'Lyjan Vahl sent me. I've come to help you.'
You hear a muffled curse just after you speak. An arrow streaks over your head and clatters off into the ruins. 'Vahl, eh?' A vah pads out of the shadows with an unknocked bow. She looks lithe almost to the point of unhealthiness, but dangerous--like a cornered animal. 'Should've spoken sooner. I thought you one of Sivyana's minions and I almost took your eye.'
You say, 'Hail, Sorysia Laythen'
Sorysia Laythen says, 'Have you any idea what's happened? Last I heard this place was prospering, but from the looks of things it's been like this for a long time.'
You say, 'Some. We have to get out of here first.'
Sorysia Laythen says, 'Mrr, a mark? Glad to see they're finally seeing some practical use.' Sorysia nods her approval. 'And from a Vahl, no less? These must be interesting times.'
Give Sorysia Laythen:
- Mark of the Vah
Sorysia activates the amulet, then nocks her bow. She keeps an unblinking watch while the magic gathers.
