Find Haryn Rehn (Southern Waste of Tarhyl  at -1240, 1420, -23  • Vah Rehn camp) .

You say, 'Hail, Haryn Rehn'

Haryn Rehn tells you, 'And a pleasant hail to you, <Player Name>!' Haryn manages his best imitiation-grin. 'These are exciting times. I'm glad you could share them with me. Or should I say, 'share them with us'?'

You say, 'What's that veil you're working on? I didn't realize you were a tailor.'

Haryn Rehn tells you, 'This?' Haryn hooks it with a claw and pulls it all the way out of his pocket. It seems to be made of the same silk Araghin wore. 'It's Ryhajin's doing. He's convinced I have a bit of latent shamanic talent. He talks to Nevaldan and the next thing I know there's a bunch of initiate's practice writ in my stars.' He crams the veil back in his pocket and leans in close to you. 'Say... maybe you could lend me a hand.'

You say, 'I'm listening.'

Haryn glances around, then continues, keeping his voice low. 'I spoke with a trader earlier, who told me of a place called Misery. There are great beholders there, huge creatures just brimming with magic. I don't know that much about the arcane, but I know you can usually get results if you put like to like. Eyes? Veil? It seems worth a shot, and it would get those two off my back.'

You say, 'What, exactly, do you want me to get from the beholders?'

Haryn shrugs. 'Whatever seems to have the most use. I'm pretty adrift when it comes to these matters. If we do manage to make anything, I'll give it to you as soon as I've showed it to them. Have we got a deal?'

You say, 'We have a deal.'

Haryn beams and claps you on the back. 'Finally, I can see my way out of this mess. Thank you again, <Player Name>.'

Journal Text: Haryn has tasked me with retrieving whatever seems most 'useful' from the large beholders in Misery. I'm not sure his understanding of magic has the... finesse... required for greatness, but he may be on to something.
