Walkthrough

Find Lyjan Vahl (Southern Waste of Tarhyl  at -1280, 1270, -23  • Vah Rehn Camp) .

You say, 'Hail, Lyjan Vahl'

Lyjan nods, flicking an ear at you.

You say, '-Show Lyjan the Rehn banner.-'

Lyjan Vahl tells you, 'Aye, Nevaldan told me he'd give you that when the stars were right. Wouldn't say why, though. I suspect the traveler is involved somehow.' He shrugs. 'No matter. She's helped a great deal so far, I can accept a little mystery with that. You'll be wanting me to tell you where to find a pole for the banner, right?'

You say, 'Yes. Do you know where I can find one?'

Lyjan Vahl tells you, 'No, but I know how we can find out.' Lyjan hands you a brief list of locations. 'Bring me the eyes of the oracles from Everchill, Emberflow, and First Ruins. With Ryhajin's help, we can use them to find you a pole for that banner. If Emberflow proves too difficult, you may be able to ask nearby creatures for one--I understand the area is quite the battleground.'

Journal Text: Lyjan told me to bring him the eyes of the oracles in Everchill, Emberflow, and First Ruins. If Emberflow proves too difficult, I may be able to ask nearby creatures for one. With Ryhajin's help, he can use them to find a flagpole to put the banner on. Lyjan didn't know why Nevaldan had given me the banner, but he suspect the traveler was involved in the decision.

Blind Eye alternative source

If obtaining a Blind Eye as loot proves too difficult, find Boomba the Burning (Fire Grottos  at -606, -388  •) and give him Hateful Eye and Crystalline Eye.

Note: If using this method, you will need to obtain two Hateful Eyes and two Crystalline Eyes, one for Boomba the Burning and one for Lyjan Vahl.

You say, 'Hail, Boomba the Burning'

Boomba the Burning tells you, 'Hey! Psst! I gots a deals for yous!'

You say, 'Nevermind that. Do you know where to get an eye from one of the oracles in emberflow?'

Boomba the Burning tells you, '...yes, Boombas does. Afters the big strongs adventurers unlocks emberflows, Boomba sneaks arounds--tries to frees gomblins, but alsos to munch on yummies kralaw corpses. Its so tasties, Boombas eats thems whenevers he cans! Whys?'

You say, 'Yuck! *Tasty*? How-- hmm. If you like those eyes, then how about a trade? I'll bring you some oracle eyes from first ruins and everchill, and you give me one from emberflow to save me the trouble of figuring out how to get in there. Deal?'

Boomba the Burning tells you, 'Yous has a deals!'

Gather and give Boomba the Burning:

• Hateful Eye
• Crystalline Eye

Boomba the Burning says, 'Hoorays!' Boomba takes the eyes and pops them into his mouth, chewing delightedly. 'Is... is goods! Is minties, with spicies! Heres, thanks yous!'

You receive Blind Eye.

Giving Lyjan Vahl the Eyes

Gather and give Lyjan Vahl:

• Hateful Eye

Lyjan takes the eyes from you, growling softly. 'Ryhajin insisted this was the only way to use these...' The vah holds his nose with one hand and stuffs all three eyes into his maw with the other. He bolts them once, twice, then swallows, a vile expression on his face. 'Stars above, this is the *worst* thing I'

Journal Text: Lyjan took the eyes and ate them as part of a ritual Ryhajin planned. He seems unresponsive--I should come back later.

You say, 'The worst thing you what?'

Lyjan's head tilts slowly to the side. 'I can taste... *everything*.'

You say, 'Hail, Lyjan Vahl'

Lyjan's head turns toward you but he does not see you. 'Away with you, father time. You have no hold on me.'

Note: You must respawn the vah camp to begin the next quest.
