Newport is the starting town for many races and classes. It has a variety of shops and trainers for a good number of the classes in the game. Newport boasts a labyrinthine aqueduct system that doubles as a hunting ground and base of operations for Necromancers, Shadowknights and Rogues. The city is split up into two sections: North and South. The south side hosts the dock where you can catch a boat to Erudin, travelling through the Storm Sea in the process.

Has Pottery, Smithing, Brewing, Sewing, and Herbalist shops.

The shops in Newport are closed during the night. They are open from 6 AM to 8 PM in-game time. Shady shopkeepers do open up at night, underneath the dock in Southern Newport.

Newport is also home to many quests including the infamous Newport Ring Quests.
