Council Assistant - Study the Locals

Talk to Rinbo Strongfoot and he'll give a Feedback Prod with the intent of getting you to prod the local wildlife.

What you have to do is click prod with mob targeted and then kill it do so until you run out of charges at which point go back to Rinbo Strongfoot to get another one. You can to do so with ten (10) of each of the following:

• a shadow treant
• a shadowdale kodiak
• a shadowdale bat
• a gigantic wasp

You'll know that you've done enough proding of the creature type when you start getting the message: "You've learned all you can learn about shadowdale <type>."

The quest can be completed once you have 30 creatures prodded of any of the 4 types.

You say, 'Hail, Rinbo Strongfoot'

Rinbo Strongfoot says, 'Hello, <Player Name>! It's always nice to see new faces around here. If you've got a moment, I'd like help with something.'

You say, 'Sure. What would you have me do?'

Rinbo Strongfoot says, 'Well, I'm cataloging the creatures here in Shadowdale, but there's a lot of them so I could use an extra pair of hands. Specifically, an extra pair of hands holding a prod.'

You say, 'What sort of prod?'

Rinbo Strongfoot says, 'This sort of prod!' Rinbo fumbles with his pack, then pulls out a long, slender rod. 'Take this and give the critters a good jab with it. Watch what they do, then come back and tell me. Just the, ah, trees, bears, wasps, and bats. Sounds easy, right? Hup to it!'

You receive Feedback Prod from Rinbo Strongfoot.

Click the Feedback Prod onto eleven of each of these types of creatures in the zone:

• a shadow treant
• a shadowdale kodiak
• a shadowdale bat
• a gigantic wasp

Note: Each Feedback Prod only has 15 charges, and at least 30 charges are needed to complete the quest. Return to Rinbo Strongfoot for new Feedback Prods.

On the first ten, a success will give the emote:

You obtain useful feedback from the creature!

The eleventh success for each creature type, watch for this emote:

You've learned all you can learn about <creature type>.

Return to Rinbo Strongfoot.

You say, 'Hail, Rinbo Strongfoot'

Rinbo Strongfoot says, 'Hello, <Player Name>! It's always nice to see new faces around here. If you've got a moment, I'd like help with something.'

You say, 'I have some new feedback to report.'

You gain faction experience!!

You turn in all the feedback you've collected, receiving credit for each.

Rinbo Strongfoot says, 'Thanks, <Player Name>! Let's see... yes, this is useful data! I'll bring this to the Council right away.'

Note: This will stay in active in the journal until the quest To Play in the Forest is started.
