Council Assistant - Deepocean Exploration

Dive into the ocean to find four an ancient statue in each Storm Sea and Sea of Swords.

The lights are listed as a lethal glow for the trackers out there, as the lights are an indication of where a statue lies. However, not all of the statues may have lights near them - some may have only deepocean fish. The lights themselves instantly kill anyone who gets too close so I'd recommend binding in whatever zone you're currently searching. Swim out to the area and avoid the lights as best as you can. The statues will appear as corpses though you don't need to loot them. Swim around the area until you trigger the next step. You know that you've completed the area once the white text appears, until it does you are not finished! Expect to die a lot. Took me around 20 deaths. Bring a druid as the ports and tracking will prove invaluable. An alternative would be a class with a locate corpse type spell as all of the statues are listed as corpses. Failing that, sense elemental will also locate the lethal glows.

The best way to avoid dying over and over while attempting to canvas these statues is to simply swim straight down when you're over them. Swim directly inside them. You avoid the deathtouching glowers AND get the white text fast.

The deepocean guardians do not see through invisibility, deepocean acolytes and lethal glows, however, do. Recommend watching them all before diving underwater, as they path around.

Find Oceanwalker Gargan (Storm Sea  at -1595, 981, 35  •) .

You say, 'Hail, Oceanwalker Gargan'
Oceanwalker Gargan says, 'Hah! You're a sight fer sore eyes. Not many Council folk come down here, what cause there ain't much to see!' He claps you on the back, laughing heartily at his own joke. 'Ye lookin for a spot o work?'
You say, 'I be lookin' fer--um, yes, I'm looking for work.'
Oceanwalker Gargan says, 'Good, good! I've got two main things the home office wants done, and if'n you help me make em done, then I'll put in a good werd fer ya in me next written report.'
You say, 'What do you need done?'
Oceanwalker Gargan says, 'Two main things. The first is some easy swimmin'. We recently caught wind of some old, oolldd statues pushin' up from the dirt deep in the oceans, here and in Swords. The ground shook, the water rippled, and foomf!' He gestures rigorously. 'Statues. If ye swim close and take a look, then tell us what you find, we'll reward you.'
Note: Binding in the area is highly suggested. Also, bringing a Druid (for ports and tracking), or at least a class with Spell: Locate Corpse (to sniff out the statues (which are corpses) or Spell: Sense Elemental (to sense a lethal glows) can prove highly useful. Swimming directly over a statue and then straight down can allow for a direct route to the statues. However, while a deepocean guardian does not see through invisibility, a deepocean acolyte and a lethal glow will so watch their pathing.
