Find Tavax Darkblood (Oggok  at 465, 440, 62  • Tunnel west of WAR guild) .

Tavax Darkblood says, 'Quite inquisitive... I take this as your interest in furthering the standing of our kind. There is a traitor among us -- one who wishes to steal the secrets I offer and use them as his own. A runemaster, that is what he is. He carries a symbol -- retrieve it and I will use it to imbue your blade.'

Kill Runemaster Zevix (Greenmist Jungle  at -350, 2189  •) and loot a Symbol of Blood. Give it and the Blood-Stained Long Sword to Tavax Darkblood.

Tavax Darkblood begins to chant in an unknown tongue. You see the blade and symbol begin to float, colliding together. As the blade and symbol clash, sparks fly into the air and Tavax Darkblood speaks, 'It is finished. Behold, your new runeblade. Few Shadowknights will ever wield it, and only those highly skilled will use it to its full potential.' Tavax Darkblood looks away briefly, 'I sense something within you... a desire for more. Is this true? Do you wish to learn more?'

You gain 1000 experience!!

You receive Initiate's Runeblade from Tavax Darkblood.
