Brother Kromtash hefts his pack higher on his shoulder, 'There is a mine to the north of here called The Bloodied Quarry. It is a place Kaezul took from the indigenous goblins when he first came into power so many years ago. It is a horrible place where Kaezul sends slaves from all over his empire to work the mines. It is naught to those slaves but a prolonged death sentence. No slave who is sent to the mines will ever see Elael again. They spend the rest of their lives mining Yclistinite..

You say, 'What is Yclistinite?'

Brother Kromtash says, 'The Bloodied Quarry is the sole known source of Yclistinite. Yclistinite was discovered in the Old Empire and used by the great enchanters of Yclist in their imbuement spells. It is a priceless ore that can be used to greatly empower weapons and armor. Kaezul keeps a tight grip on the mines specifically to have a choke hold on the production of Yclistinite. These mines will be the location of your next tasks. Of which there are three.'

You say, 'What is my first task?'

Brother Kromtash says, 'Your main job will be to retrieve us a sample of the Yclistinite ore. I have no idea where you will find one but it will need to be a piece of the ore *after* it has been refined in the deep mine smeltery. Kaezul keeps the secrets of the refinement close to his chest - unrefined ore is useless to us.'

Journal Text: I'm not sure what this Yclist stuff does, but Kromtash has it now, so its no longer my concern.

You say, 'Hail, Brother Kromtash'

Brother Kromtash says, 'Are you ready for your tasks in the mine?'

You say, 'I have done all you have asked. I deserve answers now.'

Brother Kromtash says, 'Yes I suppose you have. This complicates things. I honestly didn't think you'd live, but considering that you are here on Ikisith, of your own free will, perhaps I should have. I've spoken to the council while you were away. We'll take the risk on you. But by Elael if you harm anyone, I will never rest until you pay.'

Your faction standing with The Slave Rebellion has gotten better!

You say, 'Then I am accepted into the rebellion?'

Brother Kromtash whispers, 'Go up into the mountains, and search as hard as you can. You will find a narrow crevice, that leads to us. I have informed the guards to let you through, but do not push your luck or linger. Our sanctuary awaits.'
