Note: You must speak to High Seeker Gavin (Valley of Erimal  at 1234, 686, -34  • Main palace - first floor) in order to summon the Great Dryad.

You say, 'Hail, Xilkaz of the Order'

Xilkaz of the Order says, 'Greetings once more, Warrior Episom. What do you want of the Order?'

You say, 'Do you Know why these lands are free of corruption?'

Xilkaz of the Order says, 'No, I do not. Did you truly expect me to? If there is anyone in this forsaken forest that has the ancer to that question then it would be the leader of the dryads - the Great Dryad - and she hides from all of us 'outlanders', no doubt a weak coward.'

You have learned that the Great Dryad of the Heartlands has the knowledge you seek.

You say, 'Could you arrange a meeting with the Great Dryad for me?'

Xilkaz of the Order seems to consider it for a brief moment, then nods, 'Very well, Episom, the Order will do this service to you.' he suddenly grins, 'And this is where the little dryad you captured earlier comes in handy. We will send a message along to this Great Dryad and tell her that we will release the one in our captivity if she complies in talking to you. Just tell me when you are ready, and I will arrange it.'

You say, 'I am ready.'

You wait in the tent for some time as Xilkaz sends out a runner bearing your message. At long last, two guards enter the tent, escorting a tall, proud Dryad with a spark of fury in her eyes. This must be the Great Dryad.

Hail Samethia the Great Dryad (Heartland Plateau  •) .

You say, 'Hail, Samethia the Great Dryad'

Samethia the Great Dryad glares at Noein viciously, 'Do not for one single moment think that I am here for any other reason than that you will release my daughter - and you WILL release her, or I will hunt your rotten hide down and feed your blood to the land. Now, ask your questions so I can be rid of your miserable visage.'

You say, 'Why are the Heartlands not corrupted?'

Samethia the Great Dryad says, 'I really cannot say for certain. When me and my daughters came to this place - some three dozen years ago - our own home had been taken by the corruption. The pureness of the earth here called to us, and in time we have come to understand that this pureness is somehow connected to the ancient, abandoned temple to the west. I believe that the metal guardians of the temple would be able to tell you more, but their minds sleep.'

You say, 'Their minds sleep? How can I wake them?'

Samethia the Great Dryad says, 'Most of them are too far gone, attacking anything in sight that is not as them. There is however, a giant guardian that appears inactive. I spent some time exploring the temple and its guardians, and found that the large one reacts to the presence of dirt taken from the deeper parts of the forest. When roused as such, it asks for a 'command phrase', which I do not have and do not know how to get. There might be a clue somewhere in the temple.'

You say, 'Do you know anything more?'

Samethia the Great Dryad scowls, 'No. I have told you what I know. Release my daughter.'

You say, 'Give me some of that dirt, and I will go look for myself'

Samethia the Great Dryad gives you a small pouch filled with rich black dirt, 'There. I expect my daughter to be returned to me soon. Very soon.'

You receive Dirt of the Heartland from Samethia the Great Dryad.
