Blackscale Raider - Revenge for the Order

Etzaazik of the Order has ordered you to seek revenge on one Captain Ssrail. Go to the Goblinskul Mountains, find his ship, kill him and his crew and then use the spectral torch to burn the ship to the sea. Beware - His ship is warded from magic.

Walkthrough

Find Etzaazik of the Order (North Kaladim  at 754, 433, -65  • West, left, side of the mining tunnels, just past, North, Raider Krildash) .

You say, 'Hail, Etzaazik of the Order'

Etzaazik of the Order says, 'Power to the Order, Raider <Player Name>. What brings you to our Kaladim operations?'

You say, 'What tasks do you have for me?'

Etzaazik of the Order says, 'You have done well with my fellows in this enclave. It is time to cut your fangs on a true raid.'

You say, 'What do you have in mind?'

Etzaazik of the Order pauses thoughtfully, 'Actually... before you execute a true raid on the Silver Crown we have a bit of housekeeping to do.

You say, 'Housekeeping?'

Etzaazik of the Order says, 'Housekeeping. A former ally of the Order has betrayed us to the Silver Crown. We must make him an example of what happens to those who turn against us.' Etzaazik pauses briefly before continuing, 'Captain Ssrail used to raid Silver Crown shipments as they crossed the Sea of Swords but recently we have found out that he has been feeding us misinformation.'

You say, 'What kind of misinformation?'

Etzaazik of the Order says, 'It turns out he never actually raided a Silver Crown ship. He would meet with them in secret and divulge any plans we happened to share with him. In return the Silver Crown would pay him and give him enough goods so that he could satisfy us that he was destroying their ships. Your job will be to find his ship, kill his crew, kill him and then burn his ship to the sea.'

You say, 'Where can I find him?'

Etzaazik of the Order says, 'His ship, The Swift Seas, is currently docked outside a small Silver Crown outpost in the Southwestern sea of Goblinskull. After killing him and his crew use this torch to destroy his ship. The potion is to help you get on board. Oh... one more thing.'

You say, 'What else?'

Etzaazik of the Order says, 'His ship is guarded from magic by a magical artifact... that we helped him acquire. You will not be able to use any magical spells while on board. Either use brute strength or lure them out of the ship to kill them. The torch is also of a special nature... no other fire will burn the ship. Do not fail the Order, <Player Name>.'

You receive Spectral Torch from Etzaazik of the Order.

You receive Potion of Levitation from Etzaazik of the Order.

Journal Text: Etzaazik of the Order has ordered you to seek revenge on one Captain Ssrail. Go to the Goblinskul Mountains, find his ship, kill him and his crew and then use the spectral torch to burn the ship to the sea. Beware - His ship is warded from magic.

Note: The trick to doing this quest is speed. The pirates respawn very quickly and you have to kill all of them in order to burn the ship. Get a group together with a decent tank and a lot of AEers. Pull and kill all of the pirates at once (or if you can't handle all 9, do it in 2. But past 2 and you're risking respawns). Don't hesitate once all of them are dead, run up to the ship and burn it. The ship will more or less immediately despawn. Only one person can burn the ship per clear but it repops within 10 minutes.

Captain Ssrail hisses in unbelieving fury before crumpling over dead.

The green flame instantly takes to the wood of the ship. The unnatural fire burns with amazing speed until the ship is completely consumed.

Etzaazik of the Order says, 'My spies tell me that you were successful. Your deed will make the next scum think twice before double crossing the Order. Well done.'

You gain faction experience!!
