Find Raider Vexath (Obsidian Shard Mountains  at 3927, 1444, 2  • North camp in the second from the top "bubble" on the left, West, of the map)

Raider Vexath says, 'I have little time to talk, <Player Name>. I am in charge of keeping our Starfall operations running and am at no loss for problems.'

You say, 'What kind of problems?'

Raider Vexath says, 'Bad problems. I have the idiotic Water Goblins flinging themselves at our raiders, Warlord Ssreer wants us to make an alliance with the Liodreth and that blasted hermit is still killing our men.'

You say, 'Tell me about the hermit.'

Raider Vexath says, 'A thorn in our side since we first came to Starfall. He is a retired mage leader from the Erudin guild. He is both powerful and extremely cunning and has no qualms about stepping out of the shadows just quick enough to kill a few of our men before disappearing like a coward. Kill him and bring back proof of his demise.'

Journal Text: Vexath has tasked you with killing the Erudite hermit in Starfall. Bring Vexath back proof of his demise.

Find A erudite misanthrope (Lake Starfall  at Various  • See notes) and kill him.

Note: You will have to fight this mob a total of five times. Each fight he will slip away, teleporting to a different location in Lake Starfall, until his inevitable demised.

First Fight:

a erudite misanthrope says, 'Why do you attack me? I just wish to be left alone.'

a erudite misanthrope fades away with a cruel grin on his face.

Second Fight:

a erudite misanthrope says, 'I just wish to live in peace! Away with you!'

a erudite misanthrope fades away.

Third Fight:

a erudite misanthrope says, 'You Blackscale scum deserved what I did to you. Learn from it and leave me be.'

a erudite misanthrope fades away.

Fourth Fight:

a erudite misanthrope closes his eyes in concentration. It seems like it took him much more concentration to fade this time.

Fifth Fight:

a erudite misanthrope says, 'No! It will not end this way!'

A erudite misanthrope is surrounded by a deadly mist.

a erudite misanthrope closes his eyes in concentration. The veins in his face bulge as he wills the last of his strength.

Note: Six Mutilated Erudite Finger will drop on each kill.

Gather and give Raider Vexath:

• Mutilated Erudite Finger

Raider Vexath peers down at the severed finger in his palm and smiles broadly, 'Ha! Dead at last that old bastard. I hope you left his corpse to rot on the banks of the lake.'
