Find Coordinator Njorl (Thurgadin  at -183.48, 525.44  • Western area of the city) .

You say, 'Show me [Depths of Darkness].'

The poster reads: "The Deepshade is a hellish place. Even the weakest of the bizarre monsters lurking within are overgrown and unnaturally strong. I'll spare you the details, but I know for a fact that reality is somewhat different there. Fractured, you might say. The endless damp darkness allows the fungi and the insects to grow more than they would anywhere else, to be sure, but there's more to it than that. The darkness is not merely passive--it is *alive*. They feed on it, literally. My intentions are none of your concern, but if you were to draw out this active, manifest darkness and slay it, I will pay you well." This is a Private bounty.

Journal Text: [Depths of Darkness] - Third Rank: I accepted the bounty to seek out and slay a 'manifest darkness' which empowers the overgrown fungi and insects in The Deepshade.

Note: A contracted wizard will port you to Southern Wastes of Tarhyl if needed for this bounty.

Find and kill a deep caverns shrieker (The Deepshade  •) and a deep caverns underbulk (The Deepshade  at Various  • Tunnels east of the chasm.) until a presence ([[]]  •) spawns.

Note: It will not aggro and must be hailed within five minutes to continue.

You say, 'Hail, a presence.'

a presence shuffles.

You say, 'I can feel the darkness here.'

The darkness coalesces before your eyes.

Note: an inverted shadow pulses a 50 point AE every 2 seconds.

Kill an inverted shadow (unknown zone  • unknown loc) .

The darkness scatters.
