Crowd control

Crowd control (CC) is a method of coping with multiple enemies in a single fight. It is is an effective means of minimizing damage done to the tank while focusing the group's efforts onto one target at a time. This is commonly achieved through the use of a mesmerize spell, which renders a target unable to act altogether, or a root spell, which neutralizes a target's ability to move about.

Crowd control is the Enchanter's area of expertise, though Bards and Necromancers are also well-suited to this strategy.
