Find High Trader Bendrick (Southern Newport  at 224, -354, 6  •) .

You say, 'Hail, High Trader Bendrick'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'Well, well, if it ain't <Player Name>. Or should I say Trader <Player Name>. By the way, nice cape kid. Let me congratulate you again on yer promotion from Sergeant to Trader. Someones looking out for ya kid, cuz you had glowering reviews. And they don't just give anyone those pips. What brings you to me today?'
You say, 'Someone looking out for me you say?'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'Oh its probably nothing. Just when review time came in you got a lot of support from a bunch of coalition members. Seemed a bit odd is all.'
You say, 'Just enjoying the city.'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'There's a lot to enjoy! I'd suggest Voleen's muffins if you haven't. By the way, nice belt kid. Not to brag, but the fountain square? That was my idea. Financed it myself, which was a big risk if ya gotta know, but helped net me the High Trader position, so was definitely worth it in the end.'
You say, 'Speaking of that, how does one become a High Trader?'
High Trader Bendrick pauses a moment, 'It ain't easy kid. You need both skill and a bit of luck-'
First Officer Davenco interrupts, 'Actually it is very clearly stated in article 5, subsection 3 of the Silvercrown Charter, that in order to be promoted to the rank of High Trader a demonstrable need for a new High Trader must be shown, and then the approval of the current Trader General, all current High Traders, and a majority vote by the Newport Council must be attained.'
You say, 'And how does one prove a 'demonstrable need'?'
High Trader Bendrick shrugs. 'You got me kid. Doubt anyone really knows. I lucked out, and the person in the spot I took, died in the assault on Freeport-'
First Officer Davenco interrupts, 'Article 5, subsection 48 of the Silvercrown Charter actually goes into great detail on what constitutes a demonstrable need. Such things as a time of war, a vacant position, or undeniable merit have, in the past, proven to be the quickest routes.'
You say, 'I certainly have merit!'
High Trader Bendrick sighs. 'Once again, you got gusto kid. But gusto only moves one up so far. After that you need brains. And brawns. And beliefs. Good looks! You know, things that people ne-
First Officer Davenco interrupts, 'That is to say, by the measures found on page 3, paragraph 4 of the Silvercrown Traders Field Guide, you haven't shown yer worth as a Trader, let alone a High Trader at this time.'
You say, 'Well then, how can I go about proving my value to the Silvercrown?'
High Trader Bendrick looks pleased. 'Thats what I like to hear. You scratch my back, and I'll get someone to scratch yers. You follow what I'm saying? I'm important people, ya see! And if you suck it up, and do enough for important people, maybe you'll get to be important too.'
First Officer Davenco rolls his eyes.
You say, 'So what do you want?'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'Ain't just about me. All the High Traders need to like ya. But you can certainly prioritize me, I don't mind. Yer a trader. There are lots of you, but yer proven and dependable, so we can charge you with important tasks, while the soldiers and sergeants handle the menial running around. You follow me?'
You say, 'Where are the other High Traders?'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'At this time, there are only three High Traders. Me of course, but also High Trader Dreina in Everfrost, who you've probably met already, and High Trader Shoriva in the Sea of Swords.'
You say, 'Can you tell me more about Dreina?'

High Trader Bendrick says, 'Well, you've already met her I believe. But she's a nice dwarf, been with us since the founding of Newport. Very loyal, so has the important Everfrost post. That puts her in charge of trade in Halas, and all mining and excavation in the area. Lots of resources to manage up that way, especially if she can handle Faentharc and get those trees.'

You say, 'Can you tell me more about Shoriva?'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'Er, she's interesting. A dark elf survivor of Nagthilian, but she was too young to remember the sundering. She has a taste for artifacts from the area though, and is actually in Sea of Swords as a sort of punishment for trying to nab some rather valuable odds and ends for herself, rather than complete the agreed upon contract. If she wasn't her, she'd have been demoted or worse. But you can't just axe the person who sealed the Thurgadin deal... that'd be a nightmare!'

Now you need to do the following tasks for the High Traders to get faction:

Once you have enough, they will tell you:

You say, 'Hail, High Trader Shoriva'
High Trader Shoriva says, 'You have done more than enough to prove your worth to the Silvercrown, <Player Name>. I would suggest you return to headquarters, and speak with Bendkirk. Rumor has it your skills are needed elsewhere.'

Contracts of Thurgadin

Return to High Trader Bendrick.

You say, 'Hail, High Trader Bendrick'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'Yer reputation was spot on. You've accomplished a lot, and the other High Traders are really impressed! Everybody is talking about you! Yer gonna go far kid! By the way, nice bracers kid.'
You say, 'Thank you Sir.'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'In any case, forget whatever it was ya think you should be doing, I got a new priority, straight from the top! You ready for this? Could be yer big chance kid.'
You say, 'I think so.'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'Good. Here, have a cigar, cuz I got a bit of a story. We recently got some intel from the Council of Innovation, regarding the recently discoverd Haegra Malath. Was something great, spores that we could plant anywhere, with healing properties! People would pay massive platinum for that. Well, they pretty much fed us a line of mammoth dung. And I may have caused us to spend a bit more money finding that out than I should have...'

You receive Silvercrown Cigar from High Trader Bendrick.

You say, 'So the Council tricked you then?'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'They prety much stole from me- us. Us I mean. Whatever, what's really troublesome, is we usually get along fine with the Council. Not like the Blackscale. Council can actually uphold treaties. Yet aside from the false information, they've also moved a sizable unit to Thurgadin. Thurgadin is very distinctly our ally! I'm not saying they are up to anything. But I naturally felt the need to investigate.'
You say, 'So you went down to Thurgadin personally?'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'What! No, are ya daft? There is a gnome, Sergeant Kin, whose stationed there. I sent him a message, and he was gonna set up a meeting with the King, Dalak Shadowhand. Make sure our interests are still safe, ya know. Except I haven't heard back from the Kin yet. The meeting with the King is coming up, and I won't risk insulting him. You get down there, and figure out where Kin is! If he needs any help after that, assist him.'
Finding Kin

Find a shadow dwarf guard (Great Divide  •) .

You say, 'Hail, a shadow dwarf guard'
a shadow dwarf guard gives <Player Name> a harsh glare, 'Why are you interrupting me at my post? Begone.'
You say, 'I'm searching for a missing gnome by the name of Kin. Have you seen him?'
a shadow dwarf guard says, 'In fact we have. He wished to find a gift for King Shadowhand, and asked us to escort him to the Sorcerer's Labyrinth. The soldiers who escorted him waited for two days, but he did not return. If he's still alive, he's probably deep inside.'
You say, 'Any idea what Kin was doing in the labyrinth?'
a shadow dwarf guard says, 'Not really. He was supposed to meet with King Shadowhand soon, and was overheard muttering about finding the perfect gift for the meeting. I don't believe that Gnome knew the first thing about Shadowdwarves.'

Find Silvercrown Sergeant Kin in Sorcerer's Labyrinth.

Note: Silvercrown Sergeant Kin is in Sorcerer's Labyrinth in the area outside the castle around where Kalvah and Valkah spawn. Clear where needed and run around a bit and he will spawn. Do not be illusioned (elemental, etc) or he will be KOS and will attack when he spawns. Take a Reinhardt's Rapid Return or Potion of Origin with you as you'll need it to get Silvercrown Sergeant Kin out.
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin whimpers, 'H-h-help me.'
You say, 'Hail, Silvercrown Sergeant Kin'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'T-thank Althuna you arrived. I thought it was over for me.'
You say, 'Sergeant Kin, report. What are you doing up here!'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'I made a mistake. I-I wanted to impress King Shadowhand when I met with him. But I got in over my head. Ran out of food and water. Then ran into the Kobolds. Then fled from them to this tower. It hasn't been a good day at all.'
You say, 'You are not going to die here Kin! We'll get you out of here.'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'I can't make it on my own. If I could get to the entrance, I could light a flare, and get dwarven escort back to Thurgadin. But I need to reach the entrance first. Can you get me there <Player Name>?'
You say, 'An escort mission? No way! How about a gate potion instead?'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'I- ok... if you think that'd be safest. But hurry. It's cold here...'

Give Reinhardt's Rapid Return or Potion of Origin to Silvercrown Sergeant Kin.

Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'Thank you so much <Player Name>! This will take me back to Thurgadin in a jiffy. Meet me at the camp fires near the Mansion of Portals entrance in Thurgadin. We got some other stuff to talk about.'
Doing Kin's Job

Go back to Thurgadin and enter the area with the campfire near the Mansion of Portals, and Silvercrown Sergeant Kin will spawn:

Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'Over here, by the fire.'
You say, 'Hail, Silvercrown Sergeant Kin'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin coughs and wipes his nose. 'Hey Trader <Player Name>. Thanks for helping me out back in the labyrinth. That place is terrible.'
You say, 'How are you holding up?'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin shrugs. 'Not great. I can't see King Shadowhand like this! And if I can't nail this meeting, I'll never become a Trader. I was so close.'
You say, 'Kin, what do you mean. This meeting has to happen!'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'You think I don't know that? I got this task from Bendrik himself! And what if the Silvercrown doesn't show up, but someone from the Council of Innovation does? You know how bad we'll look- wait I got it! You gotta handle this meeting <Player Name>!'
You say, 'Grand.'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'Well I'm sorry, but sometimes you have to take one for the team. This meeting is important. Alot of stuff made here is shipped all the way to Newport. Important stuff that people like, and pay good money for. We have a very good contract in place with most of the merchants here, where we buy up alot of their goods in bulk, charge them a hefty service fee, and sell the goods at a profit in Newport and Oggok.'
You say, 'Ok... what does that have to do with this meeting?'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin sighs. 'Well the contract, negotiated by Shorvina orginally, expires very soon. We need to get the merchants to re-sign, but they seem to believe they could do better by cutting us out, and selling to the cities directly. The nerve! Who do they think made Icewell Originals the brand it is today?'
You say, 'If the merchants don't want to sign, we can't very well force them too.'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin coughs again. 'That's where your wrong. Shadowdwarf society is different from most of our world. They believe in two things. Shojar and their laws. And King Shadowhand is the mouth of Shojar to them. If he writes a mandate, requiring them to sign up, they will, and they'll do it gladly. Truly a showing of the power of loyalty and law.'
You say, 'Ok, so I'm meeting with the King in order to get these contract renewed then?'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin nods. 'Indeed. You also need to assure him of the Silvercrowns continued support. Find out what you can about the Council of Innovation as well, but be diplomatic about all this. He is a King after all, and unlike the rest of the world, his people were not affected by Kaezul. This makes him and his one of the most powerful forces in Dalaya. And he knows it.'
You say, 'But I don't know much about the Shadowdwarves! What if I mess up?'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin coughs once more. 'That could be an issue. But it's one you'll have to deal with. As soon as possible, go to Icewell Keep, and seek audience with the King.'
The King's Mandates

Now go visit King Dalak Shadowhand (Icewell Keep  •) .

You say, 'Hail, King Dalak Shadowhand'
King Dalak Shadowhand glares at you. 'You are not the one I expected.'
Note: The missing dialog apparently contains alignment adjustments.

MISSING TEXT

You say, 'Perhaps we should speak of the contract renewals now.'
King Dalak Shadowhand says, 'Contracts... ah yes. It's renewal time. My people are unhappy with your taxes to say the least, but if I mandate it, they will renew. Do you suppose I should give you these mandates <Player Name>?'
You say, 'Yes I do Sir, as many as you see fit to give.'
King Dalak Shadowhand says, 'You are lucky that we do support the Silvercrown, for you didn't endear yourself to us much. I'm awarding you three mandates. Best go talk to the Sergeant about what to do next though.'

You receive Shadowhand's Mandate from King Dalak Shadowhand.

Note: The number of Shadowhand's Mandates you receive depend on the choices you made during the conversation. 2 - 4 confirmed.
You say, 'Thank you your highness.'
King Dalak Shadowhand says, 'Before you go though, anything else on your mind?'
You say, 'The continued threat of Kaezul... what are your thoughts on that?'
King Dalak Shadowhand says, 'He avoided here once, he'll avoid here again is my belief. No matter what Kaezul believes, he, like all others, is just a pawn in Shojar's master plan. If Shojar sees fit to allow him to attack us directly, then we will act. Until then, we will do as we always have.'
Seeking the Renewals

Return to Silvercrown Sergeant Kin.

You say, 'Hail, Silvercrown Sergeant Kin'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin coughs and wipes his nose. 'Well, how did it go?'
You say, 'Well... [Describe the meeting with him]'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin smacks his forehead. 'Well shit. Meeting aside, I don't get promoted if we don't renew every contract. And these dwarves are so damn stubborn.'
You say, 'They simply won't renew without a mandate?'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin wipes his nose. 'Not easily at least. Listen, this is what you gotta do...'
You say, 'I'm listening...'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin sniffles a bit. 'Ok. Talk to every merchant, and figure out what we need to do, to get them to renew. If its crazy, hand them a mandate. That'll shut them up. If it's reasonable, just do it, and save a mandate for a more unreasonable merchant.'
You say, 'Sound plan. Just tell me which merchants are up for renewl.'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'Argash Turkaf, he is a fletcher.'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'Hurwurf the jeweler.'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'Dured and Gila Frostbeard, tailors by trade.'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'Mordin Gulinbar, one of the best butchers around.'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'The Underbelly Arms dealers, Thraed and Dorra.'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin says, 'The Potter Kerlek Jalgen.'

Visit each of these dwarves to find out what they want to renew.

Mordin Gulinbar says, 'Oh ho, I'm not falling for this again. Last time I promised to renew, you promised to get me some meat, but I never got the meat now did I!'
You say, 'What kind of meat do you want? I will bring it right to you before you sign!'
Mordin Gulinbar says, 'There exists a creature... of beauty and elegance. His name is Lenny, and I want some of his sweet, sweet meat. Bring me some, and I will sign.'

If you bring Mordin Gulinbar the Delicious Lenny Meat:

Mordin Gulinbar says, 'Perfect! This is perfect! I'll make a fortune from this. I'll deliver the taxes and good tomorrow morning.

Argash Turkaf says, 'Treant wood. Rough treant wood. Bring me back some, and I'm yours.'

Argash Turkaf says, 'Just what the doc ordered. Expect a nice shipment of bows in the morning.'

You gain 50000 experience!!

You got Frostbeard's renewal!

If you give Argash Turkaf a Shadowhand's Mandate:

You say, 'Hail, Thraed Underbelly'
Thraed Underbelly says, 'Hail! Name's Thraed, I specialize in metal clothes of the chainmail type. Or, if you're looking for something even sturdier, you can speak to my wife.'
You say, 'I would like to discuss contract renewals with you.'
Thraed Underbelly says, 'Is that a fact? Well what has the Silvercrown ever done for me? Taking too Large a cut I say! Perhaps I'll renew my contract, perhaps I won't.'
You say, 'What would I have to do to get you to sign?
Thraed Underbelly says, 'I've taken a recent fancy to old froglok creations. I've heard rumors about a jeweled scepter that some of the old powerful frogloks would have been entombed with. If you can bring me back one, I'll probably be compelled to sign back up.'

If you bring Thraed Underbelly the Antique Scepter of the Froglok Kings:

Thraed Underbelly says, 'Very well Silvercrown. I'll sign up again. Expect my taxes and the next shipment in the tomorrow morning.'

If you give Thraed Underbelly a Shadowhand's Mandate:

Thraed Underbelly grumbles a bit. 'As King Shadowhand says, so Shojar demands. I'll renew my contract with you Silvercrown.

You gain 10000 experience!!

You got the Underbelly renewal!

Bofa Hurwurf
You say, 'Hail, Bofa Hurwurf'
Bofa Hurwurf says, 'Hello to you, respected Human. Now, is there anything I can help you with? I sell jewels of most kinds... Something for your special someone, perhaps?'
You say, 'I would like to discuss contract renewals with you.'
Bofa Hurwurf says, 'Figures... ok Silvercrown, if you had a mandate I'm sure you would have waived it by now, so if you want my renewel, you get me a rare gem. Got it?'
You say, 'What sort of gem did you have in mind?'
Bofa Hurwurf says, 'The Djari are amazing jewelers, and the gems they make are hard to get ahold of. I heard rumors that you can actual purchase them from a place called the Cala Hakim, in the heart of fire. If you brought me back a gem from there, you'd get what you want from me.'

If you bring Bofa Hurwurf the Ruby of Chaotic Flame:

Note: Ruby of Chaotic Flame is sold by a Hakim trader inside the first city of Azzerach, the Forsaken Realm
Bofa Hurwurf says, 'The Djari are amazing crafters. This will fetch quite the price amongst us here! I'll renew. Expect my taxes and a shipment tomorrow.'

You gain 50000 experience!! You got Hurwurfs's renewal!

If you give Bofa Hurwurf a Shadowhand's Mandate:

Bofa Hurwurf grumbles a bit. 'As King Shadowhand says, so Shojar demands. I'll renew my contract with you Silvercrown.

You gain 10000 experience!!

You got Hurwurfs's renewal!

Kerlek Jalgen
You say, 'Hail, Kerlek Jalgen'
Kerlek Jalgen says, 'A potter are you? I have just what your looking for my friend! Step right up and browse.'
You say, 'I would like to discuss contract renewals with you.'
Kerlek Jalgen says, 'That time of year is it? Well last year I held out for a gift from you fine fellas, and I got it, so I think I'll do the same this year.'
You say, 'A gift eh? What sort of gift.'
Kerlek Jalgen says, 'Same thing as last year. Red Sun Silt. Not sure where your counterpart found it before, but I'd imagine in some mines somewhere would be a good first start.'
Note: If you are not KOS to goblins, you can get the Red Sun Silt from Fire Grotto without killing. Presumably you'd have to kill them otherwise.

Find an an enslaved goblin (Fire Grotto  •) .

You say, 'Hail, an enslaved goblin'
an enslaved goblin says nothing.
You say, 'I need silt. Do you have any?'
an enslaved goblin reaches out and hands you something...

You receive Red Sun Silt from an enslaved goblin.

Return to Kerlek Jalgen.

If you bring Kerlek Jalgen the Red Sun Silt:

Kerlek Jalgen says, 'Perfect. Red is a popular color down here believe it or not. We get sick of the shades of great sometimes too. Expect my taxes in the morning.'

You gain 50000 experience!!

You got Jalgen's renewal!

If you give Kerlek Jalgen a Shadowhand's Mandate:

Dured Frostbeard
You say, 'Hail, Dured Frostbeard'
Dured Frostbeard says, 'Hi there. As you might have guessed, I'm the local tailor. Anything I can get you?'
You say, 'I would like to discuss contract renewals with you.'
Dured Frostbeard says, 'My wife handles the finances here, talk to her about that.'
You say, 'Hail, Gila Frostbeard'
Gila Frostbeard says, 'Hello there, <Player Name>, and welcome to the Frostbeard establishment. I am the tanner, my husband the tailor. Whatever you want to buy, I'm sure we can provide.'
You say, 'I would like to discuss contract renewals with you.'
Gila Frostbeard says, 'Of course you would. But I won't do you a favor until you do me one. We've learned how to deal with the Silvercrown!'
You say, 'What do you two want?'
Gila Frostbeard says, 'They say that in the days before the fall, the holy ones of Freeport had funeral blankets, presented at most of their ceremonies. I would like to study them. Bring me one and I'll sign.'

If you bring Gila Frostbeard the Blessed Funeral Blanket:

Gila Frostbeard says, 'Exceptional craftsmanship. I will need to take time to study this style. Thank you, and expect our taxes early tommorow.'
You gain 50000 experience!!

If you give Gila Frostbeard a Shadowhand's Mandate:

Gila Frostbeard grumbles a bit. 'As King Shadowhand says, so Shojar demands. I'll renew my contract with you Silvercrown.'

Informing Kin of the Renewals

You say, 'Hail, Silvercrown Sergeant Kin'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin coughs and wipes his nose. 'Ya? How is the renewel thing going?'
You say, 'Can you just tell me which merchants I need to speak to again?'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin looks please to see you. 'Oh you did it <Player Name>. They all came by with the back taxes owed too! Ah man, I'm gonna make Trader for this for sure. Er, you'll get noted on the report as well, don't worry.'
You say, 'So that is it? I'm free to leave Thurgadin?'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin nods. 'And I will be too, as soon as I deliver these taxes.'
You say, 'How long does that usually take?'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin shrugs. 'Varies alot. You see, the way this works, I get the taxes, pass it along to the caravan, and get the invoices for next month. Then I pass the orders to the merchants who start filling the orders. Really important stuff, so they have to send a High Trader to do the transactions. You know, someone they can really trust.'

Accounting Irregularities

You say, 'Hail, High Trader Bendrick'
High Trader Bendrick smiles, 'Good work kid! The back taxes just arrived, and our man Renalds is totaling it up as we speak. There could be a real future for you here. Here have a cigar. Nice hat by the way. I got two just like it.'
All of a sudden Accountant Renalds bursts in, out of breath.

You receive Silvercrown Cigar from High Trader Bendrick.

Accountant Renalds says, 'I hope I'm not too late!'
First Officer Davenco says, 'Accountant Renalds! What is the meaning of this. You know very well that according to rule chapter 17, rule 834 of the Silvercrown Etiquette guide, such a-'
Accountant Renalds yells, 'Thieves! We have been robbed! Money lost! The books don't balance!'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'Whoa, whoa, calm down there Leeroy, what happened? Who robbed you? Crimson Hand at it again? Cult of Entropy? Twighlight Underground?'
Accountant Renalds says, 'No Sir! Worse! Though I'm loathe to admit it, I usually don't bother to count every invoice and coin we get from Thurgadin. The order is just so Large-
First Officer Davenco interrupts, 'Accountant Renalds! How could you! According to article 12, subsection 3 of the Silvercrown Charter, I should have you hung for blatantly disregarding article 10, subsection 3 of the Silvercrown Charter!'
Davenco's outburst goes unnoticed, and Renalds continues, 'Well due to that Trader over there being new, I decided to crunch all the numbers... we are missing a not insignifgant amount.'
High Trader Bendrick eyes you suspiciously, 'Oh this ain't good. Renalds, you're dimissed. Davenco, send a few officers up to Thurgadin to question Kin. You got some talking to do Trader. Better do it now.'
You say, 'Hail, High Trader Bendrick'
High Trader Bendrick sighs. 'Well <Player Name>. What do you think?'
You say, 'You don't think I did this, do you?'
High Trader Bendrick sighs. 'That is not important. It's how it looks. I send a new Trader to Thurgadin. When the taxes reach us, some is missing. Now I know it couldn't have been you, cause I know the taxes had to go to Kin. You wouldn't have had a chance to touch it. But as the highest ranking Silvercrown working Thurgadin at the time, you are responsible.'
You say, 'Could Kin be responsible?'
High Trader Bendrick says, 'He's certainly the top suspect at this moment... he might know something. You helped him out a bunch right? He may be more willing to talk to you than our guards. If he did tell you something, share it.'

Return to Silvercrown Sergeant Kin in Thurgadin.

You say, 'Hail, Silvercrown Sergeant Kin'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin looks like a nervous wreck. 'Oh Althuna have mercy! <Player Name>! They didn't send you to rough me up did they? I swear I counted it twice! Every copper was accounted for...'
You say, 'It's ok Kin. I'm here to help you again. Just tell me what you know.'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin wipes his nose. 'Well, I was just following protocol. I took the taxes to the High Trader's caravan when they arrived, gave it to their guards, took the new invoices, and went back to business as usual!'
You say, 'Who was the High Trader in the caravan Kin?'
Silvercrown Sergeant Kin nearly bursts into tears. 'I don't know! I didn't go investigate, just handed the money to the caravan guards. I knew the guard, so I didn't think it was a big deal. I'm sorry! Thats everything I know!'

Return to High Trader Bendrick.

You say, 'Hail, High Trader Bendrick'
High Trader Bendrick sighs. 'Well <Player Name>. What do you think?'
You say, 'Kin told me a High Trader would have made pick up. Who would that have been?'
High Trader Bendrick goes silent.
First Officer Davenco says, 'Indeed, it would have been a High Trader. In accordance with article 25, subsection 8 of the Silvercrown Charter, a High Trader or above would have had to sign off on the transaction. That would be an optimal time to take some money for themselves.'
You say, 'Yes, but who would have met with Kin?'
High Trader Bendrick speaks softly. 'Well, I was here with Davenco the entire time. So it was either Shoriva or Dreina. But these ain't the kind of accqusations that one just yells out. You gotta have a leg to stand on. A rope to hang with. A dagger to backstab with! A-'
First Officer Davenco interrupts, 'What Bendrick is trying to say, is evidence of wrong doing, or an alibi is needed.
You say, 'Evidence or an alibi? Let me take a wild guess on who has to gather these.'
First Officer Davenco looks at you and nods.
High Trader Bendrick says, 'Yer smart, strong and effective kid. Just like me! I wouldn't trust this with anyone else. The plan of attack is this. You go, and figure out whose guilty. Tell 'em whats up, check their alibis, if any, and find evidence of it. Evidence is damn important. Without evidence, the law won't back us up, and we won't have a case. Whatever you find, bring it back to Davenco. I ain't touching it. Good luck kid.'

High Trader Shoriva will give the quest Silver Crown Trader - The Misery of Shoriva to get Golden Pearl Necklace.

High Trader Dreina will give the quest Silver Crown Trader - Ink Stained paper to get Signed Writ of Proven Presence.

You must have the results of both subquests to continue. If you try to turn in one without the other:

First Officer Davenco says, 'As per article 7, subsection 52, of the Silvercrown Justice Companion book, I need evidence from all suspects at once before I will look at any evidence at all.'

If you give First Officer Davenco a Signed Writ of Proven Presence & Golden Pearl Necklace:

First Officer Davenco says, 'Excellent work Trader. Would you also care to tell me, in detail, the meeting with all both of them?'
You say, 'Of course. [Detail the meetings with the High Traders.]'
First Officer Davenco nods. 'Interesting. Not quite by the book in Shorvina's case, but good enough I suppose. I will go over this evidence, along with what Renalds has dug up in the books. However, a letter arrived for you shortly after you left to investigate the High Traders. It's from the good Sergeant. He obviously trusts you, so you should follow up with him as soon as possible.'
You say, 'Hail, Silvercrown Sergeant Kiln.'

Silvercrown Sergeant Kiln stares at you blankly for a moment, then falls over lifeless!

A blackscale killer attacks!

A blackscale killer falls over, and bursts into flames!

As the murderer dies, you notice a letter concealed on Kin's person. You quickly grab it.

You receive a concealed note from a blackscale killer.

You say, 'Hail, First Officer Davenco'
First Officer Davenco says, 'You seem shaken <Player Name>. What did the good Sergeant have to say?'
You say, 'He's dead Davenco. Blackscale is involved. But it seems he managed one last letter before they got him.'
First Officer Davenco says, 'Althuna's grace! Let me see that letter immediately if not sooner!'
First Officer Davenco says, 'Not up to standards, but this final message from the good Sergeant is enough for me, given the rest of your investigation. In accordance with article 13, subsection 1, of the Silvercrown Justice Companion book, I hereby grant you the power to arrest High Trader Dreina on sight. We shall move in behind you, but you will be able to get there far before us. Stop her, but do not harm her. That is not our way. Take the arrest warrant to prove you have the authority.'

You receive Signed Arrest Warrent from First Officer Davenco.
