Find Vahir Ghan (Southern Waste of Tarhyl  at 1617, -681  • Vah Rehn camp) .

You say, 'Hail, Vahir Ghan'

Vahir Ghan says, 'We thank you for rescuing us. I trust the traveler has given you the banner?'

You say, 'I sensed something strange about the sword I used to free you.'

Ghan looks you over, 'I suppose you did, at that. You are not and can never be Vahir, but perhaps it would do good to help you forge the blade of one. You have certainly done enough in the service of the vah to have earned it.'

You say, 'What do I have to do to forge my own Shir blade?'

Vahir Ghan says, 'To forge the blade, you will need to seek out the things that are the antithesis of all you believe. It is that which will make your instrument. Only by understanding what you hate and remaking it into something foul can you begin to understand the larger picture. Go to the City of Mercy, for all the pieces can be found there. The shawl of a righteous worshipper, the threads of which will form the grip. Soothing magic from a pure water elementals, the torture of which will fuel the enchantment. A righteous gem from the most favored of Althuna, fit for the pommel, and an ingot of merciful-metal from the elite of the guards to form the blade. Forge these into your weapon and then bring the result to me.'

Collect and combine in a Forge to create Shir Blade:

• Righteous Silk Shawl
• Soothing Magic
• Righteous Gem
• Mercy-Forged Metal

Give Shir Blade to Vahir Ghan.

Ghan takes the blade and, concentrating for a moment, unlocks the magic held inside. He hands it back to you.

'Take this, <Player Name>, and use it against our enemies. Prove you are it's master, attend to it and enhance it with magics and runes that you find. It will serve you well'

You receive Corruption from Vahir Ghan.

You say, 'How do I do that?'

Vahir Ghan says, 'Seek out the great prison in the frozen north. Find four of thier midnight gems and forge them into the hilt of your weapon, along with a rare rune of thier arcane strength. The Shir blade is adept at harnessing the strengths of the foes it fells, and in this way you can add thier power to it. Show me the result and I will show you the next step.'
