Related overview
Completing at least two of the following five subquests is required
One of the following Factions must be joined

Find Seeker Tresaria (Sea of Swords  at 1309, -7875, 129  • In a tower on an island in the northeast between two other islands) .

You say, 'Then that is my next step?'
Seeker Tresaria tells you, 'Correct, <Player Name>. Seek out a spirit in the fallen city of Freeport. There you must learn of Kaezul and what took place in those ill-fated negotiations between he and the high council.'

Kril

Find Kril (West Freeport  at -445, -925  • Sewers) .

You say, 'Hail, Kril'
Kril says, 'You... you, he knows you're here, why you're here! He knows, he knows!'
You say, 'What are you talking about? Who knows?'
Kril says, 'The ghost... the ghost in my head. He speaks to me... he says that he knows you are here, that you want him, and want the things he knows. He says that he will not tell you about Kaezul, that you are wasting your time... but... ahh! I know too! I know because I can hear him think just as he can hear me think! I will tell you if you... if you help me... I will tell you what you want to know... if you help me. Yes.'

Threaten Kril

Note: This dialog choice yields an Evil alignment shift and allows the player to skip gathering items for Kril.
You say, 'Tell me what you know, or I will kill you, you wretch.'
Kril says, 'No! Please... please... I have nothing... don't hurt me... please don't hurt me...'
You say, 'Tell me what you know, then.'
Kril says, 'Yes... yes, I will... just don't hurt me, please. The ghost that is in my head is one of the High Trade Council of Freeport, its rulers at the time of the Kaezulian invasion. They struck a pact with the devil, you see, accepting Kaezul's diplomats and eventually even meeting with the Dread Lord himself. Each time the ghost would remember that particular day, it would scream in agony at the betrayal that was to follow. It remembers as a great ship with black sails pulled into the harbor, and an honor guard of Iksar warriors, thirty strong, lined up on the pier. Then a tall Iksar, clad in flowing robes that seemed to shift and change in color, his clawed feet not quite touching the ground, his eyes black pits of swirling power. Wherever he looked, men would be awed by his presence and come completely under his spell. For a long time the Council had been reluctant to allow the forces of Kaezul to use their city as a landing point, as they wished to remain neutral, but that very day, the agreement which doomed Freeport was signed. That is the thing which pained the ghost the most. Kaezul was no mere monster, no faceless devil. We was a well-talker, a charismatic leader, and his men looked up to him as a father. Yet, for the benevolent but iron-willed ruler that he seemed that particular day, his legions did not even pause before they buchered their new allies on the very day of the city's anniversary. Charismatic leader or merciless butcher, which is truly the real Kaezul? The answer may be both.'

Bargain with Kril

Note: This dialog choice is Neutral and yields no alignment shift.
You say, 'I will help you, just as long as you hold up your end of the agreement.'
Kril says, 'This ghost... in my head... I must be rid of him... but he won't let me leave this place...I was a priest once, a priest! I tried to help the tortured souls here... but they didn't want help... and one of them took over me. It hurts so horribly to have him inside my head. You must... you must get holy water, from the... the temple in Newport, the temple to the Ocean God. Get holy water... for me... and a symbol, a symbol that can drive it away! I once... traveled... met otter-men... in the cold north. They had symbols! You must get a holy symbol from them!

Help Kril

Note: This dialog choice yields a Good shift.
You say, 'Of course I will help you, you are clearly in agony.'
