It is an unfair assumption to say paladins do the least amount of dps of a tank class. The amount of dps difference is enough within standard deviation to not really say a paladin does that much less dps than an sk or warrior unless one seriously out gears the other. Also, with recent shadow knight changes, they have about the same amount of utility now that they don't have to endlessly spam terrors so you can't really just claim that healing and an hp buff is that much better utility. Sure in most situations it's ridiculously useful but no longer to the point of sk's being out right worse (sk's on average are much better now, actually) Juff 01:03, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

The only difference between paladin and sk dps is paladins innate crit chance VS Sk's taps/spears. Mathematically speaking you'd do more damage swinging a high end 2her than spamming lifetaps, and even adding in spears it's pretty similar. I can tell you from playing the tippy top geared knights on the server, the dps difference is negligble. As for the stance issue it was mislisted in several places as an avoidance stance and I had to login an sk to double check. Plus, /s 4 is a better tanking stance as long as it holds out (about half as long, but it's like 25% chance to parry which is ridiculous) Also Splitting, Vortex (the single most over powered spell in a raid in the hands of any non retarded player) succubus, lifetaps, mez stance,leech touch the amount of utility is very comparable. Also paladins function far better than a poor cleric if you have any idea how to use your mana pool, and I have seen a healer replaced in a raid and a 6 man with a paladin as a healer.

I wasn't looking for an argument, I was simply stating how things are. The difference between arguing with me is that I actually enforce policy.
