Strategy

Tarx the Stormfeather is a level 39 Druid. It appears slightly weak and very tough for its level. It seems averagely resistant to magic, weakly resistant to fire, weakly resistant to cold, weakly resistant to poison, and weakly resistant to disease.

Nasty knockback AoE for 122 ish. Wizard class. You can get around the knockback by positioning the main tank between the south most tree and the left wall next to it.

The AoE is completely unavoidable now, It has extreme range, and you cannot hide from it. Levitate the puller/MT to prevent him from flying all over the place/into water/down hill, etc

After re-balance: Healers can stand in corner next to the tree (cant get knocked back here), but dont have to. Druids/Clerics group heal once the AE hits, shamans take care of main tank. Much easier than Redmaw and especially Maggot Infested Corpse. Bind in S. Badlands. There is plenty of time to GH between AE's. He has low HP so have everyone DPS hard pretty much from the start. If you dont have 1 person who consistently holds his agro, have shamans /assist the mob to heal whoever he is hitting, although the clerics/druids should be able to spot who he is hitting relatively easy. He is a very very weak hitter, all his DPS are within his AE. Casters Can still avoid AE by staying out of casting range until they are ready to begin nuking. But the benefits of this are minimal - they pretty much might as well just stick next to the GHer's. We just engaged him where he stood and ran back each time he knocked us back. Another option could be to pull him to the previously mentioned corner, although I felt the loss of DPS time in pulling him to corner was greater then the loss of dps time from all the melees that got knocked back rushing him as soon as they got knocked back (which iirc only happened a few times). Also clear all nearby birds, the last thing you want to happen is to agro a pack of angry birds while your trying to kill him. 2 GH'ers and moderate DPS = dead bird - Elipsis

The AE and DD nuke are both lightning/magic based as well as resistable. One group healer can handle the job.

Single group 36 pal/dru/brd 35 brd 34 warr/clr all but bards boxed managed just fine, we pulled him into a tent and got bounced into the roof over and over again. Healers ran oom exactly when he died, paly group heal spam and self heals were clutch. The paly MT received possibly two-three direct heals during the fight---he hits for about 40-50, but will also cast a 100-200 pt dd fairly consistently.

This guy is probably the easiest adept of the whole bunch. He has very low hp and no real danger to your tank. Killed him several times with 6-8 characters. On the last kill as a joke we did it without heals using our cleric to burn him down. - Narwuo
