Quests given

You say, 'Hail, Nalansar.'

Nalansar says, 'Hail to you too, stranger. I suppose you come to this sepulcher seeking treasures, yes? Beyond the secret passage - deep below the surface of the Faydark - is a chamber where vile rituals are performed. I was once to be a subject of those very rituals, but have escaped through my own will and magical power. What I beared witness to was quite gruesome, <your race>... the men and women- no, beasts! They sacrifice living creatures and even humanoid races such as yours. The blood is extracted and poured into the cauldron, which is then taken deep below the surface, into a secret cavern. There was another mage with me at the time of my captivity, but he was not as lucky as I - they dragged him into the caverns.

- [D1] What is this secret cavern?
- [D2] Who is this other mage?

You say, 'Who was this other mage?'

Nalansar says, 'While in our cell, he mentioned his name. Hmm, Kextal... if I recall correctly. Oddly enough they spared him of the ritual within the sepulcher. Perhaps he possesed something of importance to them.'

You say, 'What is this secret cavern?'

Nalansar says, 'Though the sepulcher serves as a testbed for their rituals, the true atrocities occur below it - in an old, forgotten cave system. Unfortunately for you, my friend, there is a magical barrier placed onto the entrance of the cave system. Only those blessed by their leader may pass through it... hmm, but I may be able to harness the power he offers them and allow you passage into the caverns. It will require certain trinkets which his children use, however.'

- [D1] What trinkets do I need to find?
- [D2] Who are his children?

You say, 'What trinkets do i need to find?

Nalansar says, 'The trinket that allows passage is a medallion which glows in hues of bright colors - green, red, blue, and white. As far as I know, the medallion used to be broken, but Kextal said that one of the beasts that live below found the pieces and re-forged them. If you found this amulet and brought it to me, I might be able to help you use it.'

You say, 'Who are his children?'

Nalansar says, 'They call themselves the Children of Darkness. Many of the captives I spoke with overheard the ritualists speaking, and said that their leader is not of this world, but reather of a demonic origin, and that he will someday offer him a place in his realm. They carry out his commands without fail, and rish their lives to see their duties to fruition. I heard stories while captured of officers, who carry out the darkest of the rituals, within the caverns below Faydark. They are a very brutal and demonic occult, <your race>. Should you wish to test their power, then i wish you luck.'
