Journal Text: Judge Rouf Stoutmane, an odd dwarf fellow, seems to want me to join some 'Rose Squadron'. He says the first step to do this is to get a recommendation from High Priest Rodger. I have been given a letter to deliver to him.

Journal Text: I delivered the letter as instructed, but the High Priest wishes for me to find someone named Eskos, and tell him 'We are still waiting for you'. An odd request, but I can manage.

Eskos Naldeen says, 'Oh, good day to you. I am Eskos, retired adventurer. I decided to come here as soon as I heard of the reconstruction attempts... I think it's quite a wonderful thing that is being done. I look forward to spending my remaining years here, I think - I've had a long and eventful life. I suppose the only regret I have is not avenging my fallen master.'

Journal Text: To really join the Rose Squadron is going to be tougher than I thought... I am going to need to last one minute against Private Reeve, in actual combat.

Private Reeve says, 'Ha! I'll make short work of you. I'm one of Captain Aiden and Duke Thanes hand selected candidates .'

Journal Text: Now I need new armor. I must find the Smith, Mithrilhart, who should be in the city somewhere and ask him for my new gear.

Smith Mithrilhart says, 'Fine. Well we usually get our deliveries from the Silvercrown outta the Oggok mines. Been some trouble there lately, and prices are up a lot, but that's not really the issue. The shipment left Oggok, and was going towards Freeport, but the merchants never arrived.'

Smith Mithrilhart says, 'No, no they didn't. And now I have no supplies. It was really lose lose.'

Journal Text: It would seem that the smith has no armor for me. Perhaps if I were to find the missing goods, this problem could be fixed. All I know is that the merchant was supposed to be traveling from Oggok to Freeport.

Eisa of the Rose says, 'I heard about what you did in the desert <Player Name>... that's really impressive. I mean it. Most people would have come back to me for orders, and many would punish you for going out on your own, but I like that in a recruit. Too many people these days are complacent... apathetic really. They won't act until they have no choice, and its far too late by then.'

You say, 'Thank you Ma'am.'

Eisa of the Rose says, 'Yes, well you've certainly passed my first two tests, even if I didn't really give them to you, both mercy and bravery. Your next lesson will be survival. You up for this?'

Eisa of the Rose says, 'I like the attitude at least. I am going to be sending you and a few other recruits to meet with the ranger, Vicks Sureshot. He'll take you on a simple overnight in the Sea of Swords. He should be stationed near the silvercrown, but far enough away from them, that they shouldn't interfere with the lessons. Go meet him out there, and do as he says. Survival is one of the more important lessons you can learn.'

Journal Text: It appears that I have been volunteered into a survival training course with some ranger named Vicks. I need to find him on the Silvercrown controlled island in the Sea of Swords.

Tracker Vicks Sureshot says, 'Heh you could say that. I've worked with Duke Thanes a lot in the past, hunting criminals and the like. Not saying you are all like him, but MAN he doesn't make any of ya look good. You just seemed a bit different was all.'

They have been hitting Silvercrown ships, and if I can do something about them, they'll agree to 'forget' a little debt I may or may not have. But I gotta stick with the recruits... Do what ya did to the lizards, to the pirates. Take out 20 of them. That'll curtail their escapades for a little while.'

Eisa of the Rose says, 'Well, well, if it isn't our little scourge of the Sea of Swords. Lizards, pirates, and you saved our comrades? That is really impressive <Player Name>. I am about ready to give you a promotion for all this!'

You say, 'I like the sound of that! Er Ma'am!'

Eisa of the Rose says, 'Yes, well you have one more test to pass first. If you do it, then I will officialy recognize you as a Private, and you will be assigned to a Captain for further duties.'

Eisa of the Rose says, 'The biggest problem with certain people in this city... in the world really... is a lack of compassion. I don't care how strong you are, you need to know when not to fight too. I wish for you to travel to the King's Pass, and find for me a token of love. I will give you no more clue than that. Find it, read it, and understand it. Bring it back when you have taken its meaning to heart. I don't doubt you will succeed.'
