We have not yet learned much about this new ore since we first received samples of it. Klikil, the young apprentice who opened the crate was taken with the semiluminous surface of an ingot that he attempted to secret it away. We found him a short while later in a supply cupboard. He became very upset when we took it from him. Since then we have assigned all researchers to the project in pairs. After our initial report the Triumvirate noted that they have had similar issues around the refined ore, and in the mine itself. They also granted my request for metalworking equipment, and approved half of the grant I requested. Fortunately, I anticipated this and requested thrice what we actually need to repair the roof and buy student materials. I have been using a small chunk as a paperweight and I find myself staring at it more and more often. There is something about the way the metal reflects light...
