Rumors abound about combining herbs and mixing herbal cocktails. This is quite a dangerous art and could result in severe discomfort to the experimenter. In extreme cases, unwary Alchemists have taken chances and, as a result, taken their own lives. For those that wish to avoid such a catastrophe, here are a few combinations that are known not to kill their imbibers:
- Fennel & Elderberry - gives items transparent properties, not sure how useful this combination is.
- Hydrangea & Fish Scales - this odd combination allows the user to hold his breath much longer than usual.
- Birthwart, Fenugreek, Wolf Blood - combines to posess the user with delusions of being a wolf.
- Shard Golem Blood, Elderberry, Ant Legs, and Alkaloid Solvent had the strange effect of transporting one to a seemingly random location some distance away. Hmmm... I wonder if potion is even useful?
- Hearty Grain, Yarrow, Mugwart - a highly medicinal combination, greatly enhancing the body's healing ability.
- Sage Leaf & Saintly Clover - a common meditiative combination.
- Sage Leaf, Saintly Clover, Catalina - a strong tea enjoyed by the scholars who spend time in the libraries.
- Ant's Legs & Bat Blood - a combination created by Bakalak, an annoying worthless Gnomish Magician that claims this combination shrinks things. Yeah, right.
- Sunflower, Jatamasi, Dragonwart - used by farmers as a fertilizer for their crops, but in addition to rapid growth, the plants develop thorns.
- Balsam and Nightshade can be combined along with a Glass Vial into a useful ointment, commonly desired by those in the profession of tailoring.
- Additional ointments can be made with the combinations of Black Blood and Blackbane, Bat Blood and Dire Leaf or Tangleweed and Wolf Blood.
