Now banished from the Tower of Tarhyl, you must trek to the land of Tarhyl's so-called "unworthies" -- Azzerach, the Forsaken Realm -- in order to redeem yourself in the eyes of your deity.
Walkthrough
Refuge Among the Hakim
Find a Hakim scout (Azzerach, the Forsaken Realm at 1170, -1422, -165 • Port-In)
You say, 'Hail, a Hakim scout'
a Hakim scout says, 'Have you been sent by Master Tarhyl? Please! Let me take you to the Dowleh!'
You say, 'Take me to him then.'
You are instantly transported to the Djari city deeper in the zone. At this point, seek out the Bloodfire Ambassador (Azzerach, the Forsaken Realm at 55, 331, -147 • Hakim Cala) .
You say, 'Hail, Bloodfire Ambassador'
Bloodfire Ambassador says, 'Ah. <Player Name>! The High Lord, Scorith said you would eventually come here. You seem to be in a position of weakness. Perhaps the Bloodfire tribes can assist you...'
You say, 'Never call me weak. Ansaag will pay for his insults to me in short order.'
Bloodfire Ambassador chuckles. 'That is what we wish to hear. The Bloodfire are willing to help you regain your standing.
You say, 'No, I'll do this one my own.'
Bloodfire Ambassador says, 'You'll never succeed on your own. You need us.'
You say, 'What is in it for you?'
Bloodfire Ambassador says, 'The High Guard needs a lesson in humility. They believe themselves superior to the Bloodfire, and that confidence is not something we will allow to grow. As well the Bloodfire value servants. We believe you'll prove an apt one.'
You say, 'Whatever. As long as I get a shot at Winterfang-'
Bloodfire Ambassador eyes light up in shock. 'Winter... you are dealing with Winterfang?'
You say, 'Correct. Next time I see him, he's a dead man. But I need to find him first.'
Bloodfire Ambassador says, 'Not many can survive an encounter with him... unless they run. No wonder you've been exiled. I seem to be lacking the finer details of your situation. Tell me the full story.'
You say, '[Describe the encounter in Red Sun Peaks]'
Bloodfire Ambassador nods. 'I recognize many of those names. The Elders will know more. But first a task! The Elders will not speak with anyone who has not proven themselves first.'
You say, 'But you just said... nevermind. Cut to the chase. How am I proving myself.'
Bloodfire Ambassador says, 'By cutting a path of death through our enemies. Descend into our battle field, the Ruins of the First City, and return to me the following. From her Faceless servants, bring me two wings. From the tower they have taken as their home, retrieve the hood of one of our fallen. Finally bring me the bloodied scale from any Sivakian. Return with all these, and an audience you shall have earned.'
Your journal has been updated. [Flames of Vengeance and Strife]
Journal Text: The Bloodfire already begin to get on my nerves. But anything is better than wasting time here. In order to gain the audience I need, I must bring two wings from the faceless, one scale from the Sivakian, locate a hood somewhere inside the tower, and bring them back to the Ambassador in Azzerach. All of these can be found in the Ruins of the First City.
Gather and give to Bloodfire Ambassador:
- Bloodied Sivakian Scale
- Faceless Wing x 2
- Hood of a Fallen Bloodfire
Bloodfire Ambassador says, 'You are a most apt warrior. But Winterfang is a god compared to the weak Sivakians. Regardless take this. Wear it and leap into the hole in the valley of Erimal. Do not reach the bottom, you will be killed there. Instead glide across to a ledge, and enter our tower. There you will find the three Bloodfire Elders. They have information you will find most useful.'
You receive Stitched Bloodfire Cape from Bloodfire Ambassador.
Your journal has been updated. [Flames of Vengeance and Strife]
Journal Text: I have completed my task, and have been awarded with a cape that should allow me to safely reach the bottom of the ruins of the first city. I must now locate the three Bloodfire Elders, and get my information.
Note: Do *NOT* follow what the quest/game is telling you to do. If you jump into the hole in the Valley of Erimal with Levitate on you will be moved to a spot above the hole that you are unable to get out of. Zone into the Ruins of the First City the normal way.
The Elders in the Ruins
Travel to the Ruins of the First City, where you will find A Hakim scout (Ruins of First City • Zone Entry) awaiting you in the water near the entry, this time disguised as a fire elemental.
You say, 'Hail, a Hakim scout'
a Hakim scout says, 'This water is detestible... but I have been ordered to assist the one with the cape. Show it to me to proceed'
Give a Hakim scout the Stitched Bloodfire Cape to show it to him.
The power of fire engulfs <Player Name>, evaporating the water around his body...
You are transported much deeper into the ruins and find yourself standing before the three Bloodfire Elders.
Note: At this point, Elder Ashfear the elder in the middle does not provide any dialog that advances the quest. You will need to complete both sub-quests below in order to progress.
Elder Blaz
Speak with Elder Blaz who will give you the Unstoppable Objects sub-quest.
Elder Cindered
Speak with Elder Cindered who will give you the Shadows of the Lost sub-quest.
Elder Ashfear
With Handle of the Spear and Shaft of the Spear in your possession, approach Elder Ashfear
You say, 'Hail, Elder Ashfear'
Elder Ashfear says, 'I am Elder Ashfear. Wisest of the Bloodfire Elders. The information I possess is not yours to have.'
You say, 'I HAVE HAD IT WITH YOU! Tell me where Winterfang is or I'll kill you myself!'
Elder Ashfear glares at you. Suddenly all three Elders begin to hum, and you feel dark magic gather and are taken by an apparition!
You are transported to the water-bound pedestal at the zone entry. A bloodfire phantasm (Ruins of First City • Pedestal at Entry) appears on top of you and attacks.
Kill a bloodfire phantasm.
a bloodfire phantasm lets out a screech before dying again...
Your journal has been updated. [Flames of Vengeance and Strife]
Journal Text: Oh the Elders are about to rue the day they decided to betrayed me...
Return to the three Bloodfire elders via a Hakim scout once again.
You say, 'Hail, Elder Blaz'
Elder Blaz says, 'We are shamed. Scorith will not be amused.'
You say, 'Hail, Elder Cindered'
Elder Cindered says, 'Vengeance will be ours one day.'
You say, 'Hail, Elder Ashfear'
Elder Ashfear says, 'Please... Please don't kill us... you are too strong'
You say, 'Sniveling coward. You deserve this mark far more than me.'
Elder Ashfear says, 'Yes... whatever you say... show me the Coward's Dishonored.'
Give to Elder Ashfear:
The brand fades from you, and is replaced by the Brand on the Bloodfire Elder!
You receive Brand of the Bloodfire Elder from Elder Ashfear.
Your journal has been updated. [Flames of Vengeance and Strife]
Journal Text: I now have the Bloodfires Brand. How unfortunate for them. Now to get the information I want.
Elder Ashfear says, 'We are disgraced...'
You say, 'This is your final warning, where is Winterfang.'
Elder Ashfear says, 'We truly know not where Winterfang is. No one does, Shojar hides him well. But I can direct you to someone who will know. Winterfangs closest friend and confidant, his companion Korant.'
You say, 'You Bloodfire are useless. Tell me where Korant is. I'll get what I need one way or another.'
Elder Ashfear says, 'Korant is a Captain of Enthann, the rogue fire Spirit who once served our Master. He likely knows you are coming, and you will have quite a fight on your hands to reach him. But succeed you must, for no one else has a chance of finding Winterfang.'
Your journal has been updated. [Flames of Vengeance and Strife]
Journal Text: Still no lead on Winterfang! And now I must invade Valor itself to move on. So be it.
With a small amount of your honor restored, you must now head to Enthann's Plane of Valor...
