Going in the glorious footsteps of my master, Roldo, I have spent much time experimenting with the tailored properties of various hides. To you, dear reader, I present my result. A compilation of authentic, 100% gnome-made, adventurous and all-around-fantasic tailoring recipes! DO try these at home! - Dorro

Rat Fur Armor: While the common rat is a fairly repulsive and annoying creature, it turns out that their fur is perfect for the creation of comfortable caps, gloves and collars, fit for the most fashionable gnome. No tricks and tests needed, all you require is a steady hand with a needle, a tuft of rat fur... or two, and one of three patterns above. Warms great for the winter!

Kodiak Skin Armor: While ordinarily far too bulky and heavy, the apllication of ointment allows for the creation of VERY warm armor from the hides of these beasts. The thickness of the hides do not allow for any real preciseness that would be a must for pieces such as leggings or a pair of gloves, but I have managed to craft bracers, a drape and a mantle with the use of one (for the bracer) or two (for the others) kodiak skins, a standard ointment, and of course the proper pattern. I'm sure you can do likewise, dear reader!

Hopper Hide Armor: The strange reptilian creatures that live in the Lands of Magic have soft hides ideal for a mage's clothing, once the hides are worked with green ointment. A pattern, a hide (or two) and some green ointment, as said.

Green Scaled Tunic: Contrary to common belief, there is a very good use for snake scales! With the use of a little ointment and a tunic pattern, you can sew four of them together into a VERY fashionable piece of armor. Lightweight enough for the scholarly type as well!

Here, dear reader, I must add a footnote, as in fact the last two recipes are not of my making, but rather were passed on to me by a wandering monk in the great frozen north. Fair should be fair! If I only could remember her name to add to the list of credits... ah well.

Sharkskin Shoulderpads: Take three shark skins, a shoulderpad pattern, and an ointment. This recipe creates a lightweight mantle that offers considerable freedom of movement, while still protecting you well. I believe it has some combat-aiding magical properties as well!

Robe of Flowing Water: This recipe, dear reader, is CONSIDERABLY hard, and I have only been able to fashion a single one myself with components bought from an adventurous otter-man. Regardless, the end result is quite astounding, a very fashionable and useful robe for mages of all kinds! Take four hides of the fierce beasts that live in the waters of the wyvern's coast, Renders as they are called. In the nearby underwater grotto's locate the scale of a mermaid and one of the enchanted pearls they commonly wear in their hair. Finally, add in a robe patterm, and assuming your attempt is successful, you will have a completed piece of work worthy of a master!
