You can kill orcs to gain faction up to just under amiably.

Find Dawnlord Ghorlan (The Oasis  at -389, 402, 133  • Center of zone; Top of tower on the island) .

You say, 'Hail, Dawnlord Ghorlan'

Dawnlord Ghorlan says, 'Dawn's Blessing on you, adventurer. I hope that you come here in peace, for unlike our misguided cousins of the Darksun, our way is not one of war. You are free to use what shade we can offer, as well as deal with our traders.'

You say, 'Who are the Darksun?'

Dawnlord Ghorlan says, 'The Darksun tribe are the smaller, aggressive orcs that you see inhabitating most of this desert stretch. They rarely bother us, but they bring trouble over the Dawn Tribe in a more indirect way. Many adventurers such as yourself, mistaking us for aggressive raiders alike to the Darksun, attack us and force us to slay them, or even slay our traders and tribesmen. I would not send the tribesmen to attack our cousins, but regardless, it is a problem I wish was dealt with.'

You say, 'How should it be dealt with?'

Dawnlord Ghorlan says, 'As the Darksun can scarcely be reasoned with, there is really only one true option. For this reason, those outsiders who wage battle upon the Darksun and return to us the headbands they wear will earn the tribe's friendship. Ah, that we had the Dawn Stone still, perhaps we would be able to convince our cousins to sway from this path with other means.'

You say, 'So then, what is this Dawn Stone?'

Dawnlord Ghorlan says, 'I cannot entrust you with this matter yet. Perhaps if you do more for the tribe.'

Indifferent Faction

Hand 1 Darksun Headband to Dawnlord Ghorlan.

Dawnlord Ghorlan says, 'My gratitude, adventurer. Take what little reward we can offer, I beg of you. Ah... if the other problems were this simple.'

You say, 'There are other problems?'

Dawnlord Ghorlan says, 'I cannot entrust you with this matter yet. Perhaps if you were to do more for the tribe.'

Amiable Faction

Hand Darksun Headbands to Dawnlord Ghorlan.

Dawnlord Ghorlan says, 'My gratitude, adventurer. Take what little reward we can offer, I beg of you. Ah... if the [other problems] were this simple.'

You say, 'There are other problems?'

Dawnlord Ghorlan says, "I cannot share this information with an outsider. Maybe if you would do a little more to help the tribe...".

Darksun Headbands will be accepted till faction rised to kindly, then you need Darksun Master Headbands. At this point you can start Dawnlord Ghorlan's quest - Part I.
