Category talk:Blacksmithing
There is an issue with these catagories. I'm not sure where to post about it, but it does need tending to.
Blacksmithing makes Plate, chain, augments and shields. There are separate catagories for plate and chain, generally: Deepmetal platemail, Deepmetal chainmail, etc. Further, some pieces are catagorized further into "small deepmetal chainmail" or "medium deepmetal plate" etc. This is all fine, but for the fact that a shield is neither plate, nor chain... and is excluded on both pages listing the full suits.
I would propose that there ought to be another catagory for each set like "MIthril Blacksmithing"--which would contain the plate, the chain, the shield, and any weapons that are made, as well as any augments that require ore of the mentioned type. ... You could look at it as a page for people to look at when they have ore they need to use up. "I have mithril. what can I do with it?" Just a thought.
If nothing else, maybe the easier solution would be to say that all shield get both the tags for plate and chain.... *shrugs* ColbyWolf 00:06, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- We can change the categorizes in a way that makes more sense - I was just using the categorization already appearing on the blacksmithing page when I did it. - Rari Talk 09:57, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- I *think* the existing onces make a fair bit of sense, they just exclude some things. I"ll take a look at it over the next few days and see if I can find a more... friendly overall system. OTOH.. simple answer is to just add tags. But at the same time... it's jsut as easy to change 12 tags as it is to change 1. ColbyWolf 01:59, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
