Strategy

((OLD INFO FROM BEFORE REVAMP)) Sludgebreath is a giant tadpole in the northernmost corner of Halls of Mielech. He is an Adept mob and is fightable up until level 42. He has a pretty mean AE dot, high magic resists, and hits melees for an average of 120. He also rampages. A raid group of no less than 15 should be assembled to take him down.

((NEW INFO AFTER REVAMP)) His AoE is still pretty decent, but nothing that a druid or cleric can't handle. The best setup for this is have two group healers, and two dedicated tank healers. My two groups consisted of a tank, dedicated tank healer, and group healer, along with three DPS/Other each. With the revamp to only 12, rampage only hits one offtarget, so now you really only need two tanks total. I believe he was perma rooted, but it doesn't matter as the AoE will hit everyone in the room reguardless of where he is. Like most mobs, grab agro with tank and position melee DPS behind him. Slow isn't really essential in this fight unless you are light on healers. - Zannle

Strategy

  • 1) 2 tanks are needed, a main tank and 1 rampage tank
  • 2) Tanks come out first off the water and engages and pulls mob to the east wall
  • 3) Rampage tanks follow right after the main tank engages, will take a side of the mob
  • 4) Everyone must go to the west wall, main tank pulls him to the east wall of his room.
  • 5) Tash right away
  • 6) Slow after Tash
  • 7) Every druid and cleric on heals until slowed
  • 8) Everyone attacks from behind

Good luck
