Talk:Brancu Earthrumbler
Strategy
Brancu Earthrumbler is a level 23 Warrior. It appears quite strong and extremely tough for its level. It seems averagely resistant to magic, weakly resistant to fire, weakly resistant to cold, weakly resistant to poison, and weakly resistant to disease.
Follow path in middle of zone north that leads to nowhere and you will find the HG on a hill near the Spectres. Loc is -1310, -8775, standing by a large stone monolith.
Kill Experiences
Was in a regular group of 5 when we killed him of lvl 20 enchanter/warrior/cleric/rogue/ranger. The fight was close and took us 4 attempts. The last and succesful attempt saw the enchanter charm a yellow lioness. Main tank engaged for 10 seconds to gain aggro. DPS + chanter pet engaged with ranger snaring. Chanter tash/slow (expect a few resists). Once slowed half the battle is won. Chanter helps cleric with heals by casting Rune on tank. Ranger keeps HG snared while chanter attempts to fear.
It ran at 8% health (Enemies no longer flee) with warrior currently on 6% health and everyone out of mana.
Easiest adept I've killed so far - We had 20 chanter / wiz / pally / rogue and a 17 pally and 14 cleric. Cleric was pretty much the only healer, with shield + lots of AC I was getting hit for approx 14-35 dmg for most hits. He can do 60+ however. Straight melee no spells or anything. Dropped hat leggings and bag of rocks. The summoned rock is only 1 dmg 35 delay. He can be seen from the cabin in the middle of the zone, he's in the mountains by some big rocks. <Ruso>
7/1 Smashed, For our adept team ( today was 1 warrior, 1 monk , 2clerics, 1 lvl 17 shammy), think tank didnt even get below 95% whole battle. Had the clerics come in and dps instead of heal cause he was so weak. Did'nt slow him as our chanter was not there for the night. But his loot is also terrible. - Wrenzana
8/25/08 Trio'd by a lvl 20 Twink Paladin, 18 Warrior, and 20 Shaman. Healed with shaman until out of mana, then sat and meditated while Paladin self healed and LoH when I went out of mana on Paladin, switched back over to shaman to finish healing. Warrior just beat him down with his Mithril 2hs. Finished 40% on both warrior and paladin. Loot sucked, Giant sword and two legs.
9/18/08 Required a full group and just barely took him down. Had 20 Druid, 18 Shadow Knight, 17 Warrior, 17 Necro, 18 Mage, 18 Shaman. Damage shield is a must. Had the druid cast shield of barbs on all the players and the yellow lion he charmed. Then we sent the warrior in to tank along with all the pets. When Brancu hit 95%, everyone casted some dots and went melee for extra DPS. Druid healed until oom and then shaman took over. SK harm touched and took agro and died early. But he always returned to grab argo and take more hits, dying multiple times. Shaman got agro when he hit Brancu with slow, and then returned like SK to try and pull agro and extend the fight. Warrior finally went down after shammy went and druid was still oom. Necro died towards the very end, just before Brancu bit it. Trick is to have a good damage shield up, not over-agro with dots and nukes, and have tanks return to take agro when they die, even with death fatigue on, to let casters dot and take him down. Prepare for a fairly long fight unless twinked. Very fun and challenging fight. Dropped the Sack of Rock, the sword and the cap. Tsunami123
