Pick Pocket
The favored skill of any sticky fingered Rogue, this skill allows a Rogue to steal money and items from NPCs. This theft comes directly from a mobs loot, meaning an unscrupulous Rogue is able to enhance his or her share of a group's loot.

Skill Mechanics
Besides skill level, the success rate of thieving is affected by:
- The level difference between the Rogue and target NPC.
- Whether the Rogue is sneaking.
- Whether the Rogue is behind the NPC.
Heat
When pickpocketing, your rogue may be noticed and gain Heat producing the following messages:
- <Your Name> was noticed while trying to steal!
- You have drawn heat to yourself...
A rogue may check their current Heat by using the #stats command:
- <Your Name> has drawn far too much heat! <Your Name> should lie low for a while...
Guards around a city may Consider apprehensive, but will attack the Rogue due to your Heat. Be sure to not #bind your character in guard-heavy location if you plan to pickpocket.
Limitations
- Items with the Magic Item tag cannot be stolen (the sole discovered exception to this is Swarmborn Pineal Gland, which is a Magic Item that can only be acquired via pick pocket).
- The skill cannot be used while auto-attacking (one can still steal from a mob in combat by simply stopping auto-attack).
- The maximum amount of money that can be stolen per pick pocket is 10 platinum (increased to 11 with mods).
- Pick pocketing certain NPCs (e.g., chests in Kaesora) may result in catastrophic effects...
Skill-ups occur for every 6-7 (random) undetected attempts on an NPC which has something to steal. NPC level does not matter (one could max this skill stealing from lvl 1 mobs if one desired).
