Received a missive from the Triumvirate today. Yclist University is to be the site of testing on some new ore that may have magical properties. Naturally the shaman council wishes to control their supplies of this ore, but they are stumped by it and have asked us here at the University to help. The council has denied our pleas for additional funding for three years. running deeming the coin a 'luxury' they cannot afford. Without the hard work of several agriculture students selling produce, milk and eggs to the surrounding town, we may not have made it at all. I plan to include another request for supplies and funding in my reply. We will be receiving the first shipment of samples within days. I resent this imposition - it is not as if we have nothing better to do than work at the beck and call of some thinscaled elders in Ikild. This ore must be important for them to risk taking it from the confines of their city, so I am excited to see what secrets it may hold.
