Fizzle
A fizzle sometimes occurs for spells or songs that have been memorized. Note that it does not occur for spells or songs that are cast using items. Fizzles occur more often when the caster has a low skill in the type of spell (Abjuration, Alteration, Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination, Evocation) or type of song (Brass Instruments, Percussion Instruments, Singing, Stringed Instruments, Wind Instruments) starting to be cast or sung.
When starting a new character, the characters main statistic for learning spells/songs is used to determine how fast you become proficient and how quickly your character fizzles less often. The main statistic for learning spells is:
Classes | Spell Skill Stat |
---|---|
Bard | DEX |
Beastlord | WIS |
Cleric | WIS |
Druid | WIS |
Enchanter | INT |
Magician | INT |
Necromancer | INT |
Paladin | WIS |
Ranger | WIS |
Shadowknight | INT |
Shaman | WIS |
Wizard | INT |
