Find Researcher Pippin (The River of Recess  at 1252, 99, 420  • Council of Innovation camp) .

You say, 'Hail, Researcher Pippin'

Researcher Pippin says, 'Hail. I really need help from anyone available, if you're willing. I'll let you in on a secret if you help me out.'

You say, 'I'm listening.'

Researcher Pippin says, 'Good, good. Paddleopsicopolis, what was the name we came up with for those trees?'

Paddleopsicopolis says, 'I believe we called them "mistroots", Master.'

Researcher Pippin says, 'Ah, yes! Mistroots. Anyway, those towering mistroots on the western edge of this area - some of them have brightly colored leaves, and I need several of them.. five should do nicely. Can you fetch some for me?'

You say, 'Okay.'

Journal Text: I'm not sure if I beleaf him, but Researcher Pippin says that he'll let me in on a secret if I bring him five brightly colored leaves from towering mistroots.

Gather and give Researcher Pippin:

• Glowing Mistleaf x 5

Researcher Pippin says, 'Wow, you got five of them! I suppose I should explain why I need them now - so, Blayse over there is ... not exactly right in the head. When he arrived here, he killed some of those treants and made tea from those leaves. Trouble is, he didn't dilute it nearly enough.. it seriously messed with his mind and nearly killed him in the process.'

Researcher Pippin says, 'Ever since then, he's been addicted to the stuff - starts losing his mind and blasting stuff to oblivion if he doesn't have some of it every so often. He's been drinking it in a much more diluted form now - brewed with eight flasks of water, one of the leaves, and a whole bag of sugar. Diluted that much, it's actually got one useful property - rapid mana restoration, if you can ignore the tremendous headache and inability to speak or cast spells for a bit. That's the secret.'

Journal Text: I brought Researcher Pippin the leaves he asked for. He said brewing the leaves with sugar and eight flasks worth of water can make some tea that won't kill you or cause irreversible brain damage.
