fomelo2wiki is the easiest way to add worn items seen on fomelo to the wiki.

Common known bugs with fomelo2wiki

 • Items with recommended level may not provide appropriate scaled values.

Dealing with parameters

If you absolutely cannot provide the source, add stub-source above this template.

stub-source

The most common uses for source are Loot and Quest. Ground Spawn and tradeskill (like Fishing) are also rather common.

Source

Source is a very simple description of how an item is obtained.

Unknown source

stub-source should be placed above the Itemstats template if a proper source cannot be provided. This includes cases where only a partial source can be provided. Please note that providing incomplete sources are the only time the parameters 'mob' and 'questreward' (compared to mob1 and questreward1) should be used.

Examples of incomplete sources:

source = Loot
mob = unknown goblins in South Newport
source = Quest
questreward = unknown quest in Plane of Justice

Loot source

If Loot is the source, then use mob# =

For instance, mob1 = Rari the Wikinator

In some cases, the exact name of the mobs that drop an item may not be known. This is especially common when an item drops off "trash" in a zone. When all of those names are not available, use mob = various Raris in Zonename. Yet, even if it would require adding every trash mob in the zone, using mob# is still preferred. Why? Because without the use of mob#, there is no actual link between those NPCs and the item. This is the only way we have of building their loot tables. So please, just work with me here, ok?

Now, as for zone = and zone# = .

zone = has been included in the template, but it has no current useful-sort-of-use. Just stay away from it.

zone# = is used for Ground Spawns and Fishing sourced items. If there are other uses, I can't think of them.

Also, keep in mind that due to several unavoidable issues with the template, the first letter of the mob's name must be given as a capital letter in this template. :(

Quest source

source = Quest

questreward# = Quest name

If the quest is unknown, but the zone the quest starts in is known, use

questreward = unknown quest from Zone Name

If an item is given as part of a quest to be used in that quest, use

questitem# = Quest name

Also, please note that quest name needs to be the exact name of the quest(s).

Ground Spawn source

Lots of extra modifiers for Ground Spawns!

source = Ground Spawn

zone1 = zone2 =

loc = ##, ##, ##
Short location description loc2 = loc3 =

Loc should be gathered using /loc. If this sort of loc is not available, or you wish to add a short description, order matters.

Multiple locations, add a number after additional loc parameters.

respawn = # hours/minutes/seconds

Tradeskill items

Tradeskill source

(use the name of the tradeskill used, Blacksmithing is used as an example.)

source = Blacksmithing

tradeskilled = Blacksmithing

recipe = Ingredient 1 + Ingredient 2

trivial = #

Tradeskill ingredients

This indicates that this item is used in a tradeskill to create another item.

tradeskillsupply# = Blacksmithing

Special Categories

Every item is automatically put into certain categories, based on the information given about them. The names will always be related: like if an item has an effect, it will be Category: Items with x Effect. If these categories show up red, they need to have DPLitemslist added to them (which can be done easily by clicking [Special Category] in the new page formatting box on create). Adding DPLitemslist to a category which is not supported by this template will give the error:

This category is empty or contains items which are not formatted correctly.

Related pages will not update with that item until the item appears in the category's table and if the table already exists, the category needs to be purged for it to be recognized. This actually happens automatically about once a week but if you want to see your changes appear on the page immediately, purge the category manually.

How to purge? Hit  Edit  on the category page, make no changes, then hit Save. The page has been purged, and the related pages updated to include the new item.
