Talk:Lord Commander Ragarati

Strategy

Lord Commander Ragarati is a level 55 Warrior. It appears rather strong and very tough for its level. It seems averagely resistant to magic, weakly resistant to fire, weakly resistant to cold, weakly resistant to poison, and weakly resistant to disease.

This mob is pure melee. He is located where the Froglok Crusader was on live. (The "Tower" in the middle of the large circular area near the Mielech's Lair zoneline. He's on the BOTTOM floor, there's a small little set of stairs that's easy to miss.)

Strategy

Ideal Class makeup

  • Main Tank plus 2 Rampage tanks
  • 1 Cleric for Group Heal
  • 2 MT Healers (Shaman preferable)
  • Anything else for the rest -- recommended Magician for dots/DS/mod rods, Enchanter for buffs/debuffs/chain rune, Bard for mana regen/haste, Necro for max dot debuffage, 2 more dps

Ideal Group arrangement

  • Melee + Group healer in Group 1
  • Bard + MT healers + int casters in Group 2

Get to his room

  1. have everyone invis up in their groups to Mielech B south west entrance ("Live side" on Live, Westernmost exit from Mielech A)
  2. have everyone at the entrance of MielechB re-invis and head to the east tunnel that leads to the big circle room/Keep
  3. once everyone is buffed up have them reinvis and take them inside the Keep to the ***hallway facing the Commander***, (hang that quick right inside the Keep for the easy to miss stairs, Commander is on the very bottom floor)
  4. once everyone is in the hallway facing the commander, it is safe to hug the wall, drop invis, and rebuff. There is a single mob at the end of the hallway facing away from the commander -- it might be preferable to take this mob about before buffing, as a froglok adviser can cause serious problems with massive AoE damage. If the mob is an adviser, it really is best to mez first, burn mana, THEN kill.
  5. Once the hallway is secure, rebuff!

Attack

  1. There is no need for CC -- the Commander is quite alone in his little room
  2. MT engage (no need to pull -- simply engage in little room)
  3. Commander's resists are not high at all -- have Enchanter/Mage/Necro tash/malo/scent soon after engagement, and spells will land like cake. Either Shaman can slow or the Enchanter can, but have the Enchanter do the rest of debuffs while Shaman focuses on healing (if there is a Shaman, which there should be)
  4. Ragarati is a warrior, not a monk; there is no need to slow RIGHT away. Slow/debuff when tank has comfortable aggro...on that note, it may be nice to have a shadowknight MT to grab aggro much more quickly; we dotted at 93, debuffed around 90, nuked at 85 with no loss of aggro on the tank's part

Good luck!
