A Paladin checks her comrade for life signs after an unexpected run-in with a decaying corpse.

The Paladin is one of three Tank classes in Shards of Dalaya, alongside the Warrior and his dark counterpart, the Shadowknight. The Paladin has many distinctions from the others, not the least of which is his ability to Lay on Hands which heals a target instantly for a great amount of hp. The Paladin has reasonable AE Aggro and can grab the attention of up to six mobs at once, though they will be unable to hold agro on all mobs if DPS is split. Their ability to hold aggro on a single target, while not as quick as a Shadowknight or Warrior, is still decent. Paladin disciplines add a tanking stance, taunt, dps stance, undead smite, two handed swing and an aoe threat shield slam. Paladins have a 10% innate chance to crit.

Paladins are the undisputed masters of killing undead and are able to land Cleansing Blows against them. Simply having a Paladin in your group will allow all party members to land melee critical strikes against undead whom normally are immune to them. Paladins also have many anti-undead spells, along with other healing spells, which gives them some great flexibility when things begin to go wrong. Finally, a paladin may be saved from death to undead via an innate ability known as Divine Refusal.

If you like tanking, hate the living dead, and aren't afraid of keeping 4+ enemies off of your support at once, then you might find that the Paladin is for you.
