Captain Thalas wants you to help prepare for the upcomming expedition to the Plaguelands. He needs to you to fill a container with preserved meat rations, recover stolen weapons, and meet with Alchemist Banner to prepare a counter agent.

You say, 'Hail, Captain Thalas'
Captain Thalas says, 'Hail, Corporal <Player Name> - I'm glad you came, we've much work to do. Sergeant Halsey has shown me the reports on the plague sample you retrieved from the Blackblades, and I must say that time is of the essence. We will need to act quickly, and form an expedition to cleanse the plague from one of the more infected areas - the Plaguelands - prior to launching our efforts on the Badlands.'
You say, 'I am ready for anything, Captain.'
Captain Thalas says, 'I will be sending word soon to Sergeant Halsey to deploy the men, but first we must gather all of the appropriate necessities for the long journey. Hmm, let me see...' Captain Thalas reads over his notes, 'We will need to gather proper rations, armor and weapons, and have a counter agent made which will be used on the diseased of the Plaguelands.'
Proper Rations
You say, 'What kind of rations do I need?'
Captain Thalas says, 'There will be much travel time while venturing to the Plaguelands, and thus you will need to gather rations which will last the duration. I hear talk of the liodreth keeping long-lasting meat deep within their lair. Perhaps you should take a raiding party in and see what you can find. Once you have recovered ten such rations, pack them into this crate.'
You receive Empty Ration Crate from Captain Thalas.
Collect and combine ten Preserved Meat Ration Empty Ration Crate to create Crate of Meat Rations.
Armor and Weapons
You say, 'Where can I find the armor and weapons?'
Captain Thalas says, 'The armor and weapons would have been covered by the Newport Guard... however, one of our supply caravans was attacked by a band of corrupted centaur, and so we will need to task you with recovery of the cache. Scouts reported seeing them roaming the Badlands, though there is no further information on their whereabouts at this time.'

Counter Agent
You say, 'Who do I speak to for the counter agent'
Captain Thalas says, 'The counter agent will require the help of a skilled Alchemist. Journey to Halas where you will find Alchemist Banner - give him this letter to let him know of our plight. I am sure he will lend a hand, as we are in dire need of his assistance.'
You receive Letter to Alchemist Banner from Captain Thalas.
Find Alchemist Banner (Halas at 135, -300 • In front of Alchemist building) .
You say, 'Hail, Alchemist Banner'
Alchemist Banner says, 'Aye there, how's the weather treatin' ya?'
Give Letter to Alchemist Banner to Alchemist Banner.
Alchemist Banner reads over the letter, 'Ehhh... this isn't good. Wish I'd known Newport needed help earlier, i just used up the last of the herbs that would make a fine counter agent for the plague Captain Thalas describes. Ah, tell ya what... up for some herb pickin?'

You say, 'If it gets the counter agent made.'
Alchemist Banner says, 'Good t'hear... you'll need to fill this box up with some herbs. I'm not exactly sure where the last one got 'em from... he said somethin' about lots o' moisture though. Eh, I'm sure you can figure it out! I'll need five Deep Cavern moss and five Darkbloom Aloe leaves put in that box. Return it to me and I'll brew up the counter agents.'

Collect and combine in Empty Herb Box to create Filled Herb Crate:
- Darkbloom Aloe Leaves x 5
- Deep Cavern Moss x 5
Note: Invisibilty makes gathering these herbs a lot less dangerous.
Give Filled Herb Crate to Alchemist Banner.
Alchemist Banner says, 'Good work... let me get to brewing these up, hmm?' Alchemist Bannr grinds the herbs and mixes them in his bag, 'All done, let me get you a crate to carry the vials in - don't wanna spill 'em, eh?' Alchemist Banner places the vials in a crate and hands it to you.
You gain 10000 experience!!
You receive Crate of Counter Agent Vials from Alchemist Banner.
Giving Captain Thalas the supplies
Give Armor and Weapons Cache, Crate of Meat Rations, and Crate of Counter Agent Vials to Captain Thalas.
Captain Thalas says, 'Amazing job Corporal.' Captain Thalas writes a note and places it in an envelope, 'Here, take this to Sergeant Halsey. I believe the expedition is ready to be deployed now that we have the proper supplies. Oh, by the way... present to him your ring in addition to the letter - I have requested he gives you a new ring, as your status within the guard has been raised to Sergeant.'

Sergeant Halsay nods and hands <Player Name> a new ring, 'Welcome to the ranks of Sergeant, <Player Name>. The expedition is on its way to King's Pass, and Captain Thalas requests that you rendezvous with them immediately.'
You receive Newport Sergeant's Insignia from Sergeant Halsey.
