Talk:Nalia the Psychic

Strategy

Looks like a skeleton, not sure what class (thinking enchanter) Seemed to die fast, possibly phantom strikes. Uses an AoE stun pretty often, seemed to last just a second or two on me.

Strategy

Ideal Class Makeup

We had a raid of all 55's aside from one 52 monk I believe.

  • Warrior was our only tank class.
  • We had a cleric in each group as our only healers.
  • We also had 3 monks, 1 ranger, 1 bard, 1 magician, 1 enchanter, 1 beastlord, and 1 other, I cant remember which.
  • Ideally, another tank class to taunt and hold aggro would have been nice, perhaps we could've avoided any deaths.

Get To Her Area

  • We gathered at the zoneline, Casted Skeleton Illusion on everyone, buffed up, then went in.
  • With Skeleton Illusion, she was not Kos to us. Also was not KoS to IVU when the first people were scouting.
  • The area she is in is an enclosed courtyard behind the Inn, there are 3 an undead guardsmans, 1 on the balcony not far from her, 2 down below in the courtyard. We cleared these ahead of time to avoid aggros.

Attack

  • We gathered all our DPS and healers below in the courtyard, and the warrior stayed on the balcony to engage.
  • The warrior had around 3k unbuffed hp and 800ish unbuffed ac. Despite all the buffs, his hp went down surprisingly fast, so she must hit quite hard.
  • Due to how fast his hp dropped, he wasn't able to sit there and get a good solid aggro before coming down, the cleric had to heal him, so he brought her down into the courtyard, and we zerged her.
  • Enchanter casted tash at 95%, slow at 90%, curse of the simple mind at 75% and cripple at 35% for the last hoorah.
  • The cleric managed to keep him alive 'til Nalia was at around 45% I think, then the tank went down. As a monk, with 1700ish unbuffed hp and 850ish unbuffed ac, I was apparently next on the hatelist, and got aggro immediately. She beat me down very fast, but the cleric managed to keep me alive, along with some help from mend. I held aggro til around 25% when she charged after someone else, I think a caster. After that, just being surrounded by so many melees kept her in place, and we burned her to the ground.
  • There was another death in my party besides the warrior, I think it was a monk, but I'm not sure. No idea if there were deaths in the other party.
  • The whole fight was fast, she seems to have fairly low hp, it couldn't have taken more than 1.5 minutes for her to die, maybe 2 minutes tops.

New changes

Now she summons mobs to aid her as she is going down. can have people lvl 51-55 as long as there is enough DPS to bring her down FAST and keep party members healed while the adds are on them. having a bard or a chanter for this fight is a plus to mezz adds. Enchanters can also be used to cast illusion skeleton on raid members, eliminating aggro from adds. Other than that easy kill AWESOME sword BTW I can see tons of Rog/Brds farming this one just looks aside the katana is awesome in stats as well. Other than that this is an EASY fight just focus on DPS 2 healers and a good grabbing agro tank bring her down before her adds bring your raid down.

Note: As a 55 enchanter I was unable to use Glamour of Kintaz to mez the ads, however Blissful Apathy worked with no problems.
