Historian Thomas says, 'And I am looking for someone to assign tasks to, Sergeant, so it appears we are a good match. There is a lot of history in this fallen city - times past it was a haven of free trade - the city was even named based on the beliefs of free trade with man and other races on Dalaya. Unfortunately the fall brought about its destruction at the hands of Kaezul and his armies, who marched through Freeport and across the continent, laying waste to all those living. But I prattle, and wish not to bore you with the details which I'm sure you already know. There were certain figureheads in the city who were praised for their deeds: Grandmaster Tyranna of the monk guild, High Beguiler Garos, and and the highly touted keeper of the arena. I understand that they each kept scribings of their teachings and activities in the city, and that my friend is where you come in. These are very important historical pieces of Freeport, and they must be recovered.'

You say, 'Tell me about the scribings.'

Historian Thomas says, 'There are three such scribings which need to be recovered, like stated: The Teachings of Tyranna, the Lexicon of Garos, and the History of the Arena. Each book recovered will increase your standing in the Silver Crown, and you may hand in each individually. You need not recover them all at once, as the tasks to gather them will be quite challenging, even for the greatest of our Sergeants.'

Retrieve The Teachings of Tyranna and give it to Historian Thomas.

Historian Thomas says, 'The Teachings of Tyranna! I will see to it that this is delivered to Newport immediately, and send word to the High Trader that it is you who we should give our thanks to for recovering it.'
