You say, 'Hail, Trader Valner'

Trader Valner eyes <Player Name> appraisingly, then stretches out his hand in greeting, 'Welcome to the Heartland Plateau. I am Trader Valner of the Silver Crown Trading Coalition, and in charge of the construction and maintenace of this settlement. This is all Silver Crown land, so do be careful what you do on our property. How can I help you?'

You say, 'Could you arrange a meeting with the Great Dryad for me?'

Trader Valner raises an eyebrow, 'Now why would you want to meet with such a creature? Regardless of your reason, though, setting up such a meeting is likely to require an investment of time and resources that I cannot sanction for someone who is not affiliated with the Silver Crown.'

You say, 'I want to join the Silver Crown Trading Coalition.'

Trader Valner smiles widely, 'Excellent news. You look like a capable person, and the Silver Crown always has use for capaple people. Before I can formally put you in the rolls as a Hireling, though, I'd like a little favor from you. A test if you will. We've just received some new directives from headquarters in the Sea of Swords, and I need them circulated among the men. Take this and show it to at least one of the lumberjacks, one of the cooks, one of the blacksmiths, one of the tailors, and five of the soldiery. Bring it back when you have finished. Go on then.

You receive Directives from Trader Valner.

Note: All of the following NPCs are in the Silver Crown camp in Heartland Plateau. These can be done in any order.

Give Directives to a Silver Crown lumberjack.

Give Directives to a Silver Crown cook.

a Silver Crown cook takes the directives and reads them over, 'Hm. Thanks, <Player Name>. Here, I imagine you need to show this to the others as well.'

Give Directives to a Silver Crown smithy.

a Silver Crown Soldier takes the directives and reads them over, 'Hm. Thanks, <Player Name>. Here, I imagine you need to show this to the others as well.'

Give Directives to a Silver Crown tailor.

a Silver Crown tailor takes the directives and reads them over, 'Hm. Thanks, <Player Name>. Here, I imagine you need to show this to the others as well.'

Give Directives to five of the a Silver Crown Soldiers.

a Silver Crown Soldier takes the directives and reads them over, 'Hm. Thanks, <Player Name>. Here, I imagine you need to show this to the others as well.'

Give Directives to Trader Valner.

Trader Valner puts the directives away in a drawer, 'Good job. You are now Hireling <Player Name> of the Silver Crown. Here are your rank pins - simply attach them to any garment in your possession. I don't have any orders for you right now, so go about the camp, talk to people, and make yourself useful. You can return to me if you have any official requests, or is interesting in advancing to a higher rank. Ah... yes. Note that while the Blackscale have an unjustified and unfortunate presence in this area, simply avoid their territory, and do not start any fights with them. I will be forced to reprimand you if you kill any members of the Order.'
