Walkthrough

Find High Priest Rodger (City of Mercy  at -2039, 848, 56  • Roams Inner City, Library (Passes by the doorway)) .

You say, 'Thank you. Now what is it we must do next?'
High Priest Rodger says, 'Well a few things are clear. Whatever we are dealing with, is powerful and evil. I get the same feeling from that spirit as I do when I walk around Lesser Faydark... nothing good at all. I started looking into our summoning, and found the incense you brought me was tampered with. I don't like that. Not at all. Finally I've been thinking about what she said before she attacked. About the implements of her demise...'
You say, 'Do you think she meant the weapon that killed her?'
High Priest Rodger says, 'To an extent... I think she was referring to her own weapons. Essentially that the tools of her trade killed her. In any case we're gonna need outside help. So I took the liberty of sending a message to an old acquaintance of mine. He's a seer, for the Dawn Tribe.'
You say, 'What do you hope he'll find?'
High Priest Rodger says, 'Think about the how your own weapon got in your hands <Player Name>... weapons travel, from owner to owner. The odds of Keiras weapons still being in Mielech are very low. But we might be able to use a seer and figure out where they are now. No sense sending you across the whole world looking if we can narrow it down. Go talk to Dawn Seer Tarnok in the Oasis. You can trust him.'

Your journal has been updated. [Roses of Judgment]

Journal Text: Rodger has set up a meeting with the Dawn Seer in the Oasis for me. I hope he can find these weapons...

Find Dawn Seer Tarnok (The Oasis  at 555, 53, 6  • Dawn Tribe camp, north of the waters) .

You say, 'Hail, Dawn Seer Tarnok'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'Greetings, out-triber. I am Tarnok, Seer of the Dawn Tribe. I am the tribe's spiritual guide, the interpreter of the Word of Elael, a tradition that goes back to our old homelands.'
You say, 'High Priest Rodger sent me to speak with you.'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'You must be the one the letter mentioned. Rodger wrote that I would know this by the vessel you carried. The one with the spirit inside. Please give it to me.'

Give Dawn Seer Tarnok:

  • Vessel of Lost Spirits
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'What pain. And corruption. I've seen it before... I will do this divination, and gladly, but you must bring to me implements to assist. Locating the arms will be impossible otherwise. Bring to me a Crystal Ball, for a focus is needed in order to peer through the veil. I need something personal from the owner of the weapons, something of equal value as it were. Finally I need crystalline blood to function as a sacrifice.'

Your journal has been updated. [Roses of Judgment]

Journal Text: I've spoken to the Dawn Seer, and, as is typical, I need to find a few things before he can start his divination. I must find Crystalline Blood, A Crystall Ball from Freeport, and somehow retrieve something personal of Kieras.
You say, 'Where in the world will I find a Crystal Ball...'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'A fortune teller would certainly carry one. There was once one in the city of Freeport, in the west. Perhaps an extra can still be found there. Conversely I could probably craft one if I had a focus of hate... the choice is yours, either will do.'
You say, 'Something personal... she was a thief, what about her thieves tools?'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'Yes that would in fact do. Would you happen to have such things?'
You say, 'I did. But I gave them to Grant... and they executed him...'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'Then you must retrieve them from those who did the deed.'
You say, 'Crystalline blood? Where is that found?'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'I do not know. But I imagine a desert is not the place to start looking. Something in the frozen north should work. You will have to hunt.'

Complete Penance.

Gather and give Dawn Seer Tarnok:

  • Crystal Ball
  • Crystalline Blood
  • Kiera's Elegant Thieves Tools
Dawn Seer Tarnok draws a circle with the blood, and places the Crystal Ball in the center of it. He holds the thieves tools in one hand and touches the crystal with the other. He begins to chant softly in orcish.

Journal Text: The orc has what he needs. Now to let him do his magic to find the weapons....
You say, 'Hail, Dawn Seer Tarnok'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'I have seen it. There are two. Both daggers. They both exist! Bring both to me, and I will tell you what more you need to do. The end is in sight...'

Your journal has been updated. [Roses of Judgment]

Journal Text: Success! I know where the daggers are now... kinda... one is being held by servants of Sivyana, who fight servants of Tarhyl. A bringer of rot in the badlands holds the other.
You say, 'Where is the first dagger?'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'War. Two immortal enemies, one of them your own as well. Locked in war. The mistress of pain and her old master. Her servants hold it, they battle Tarhyl with it.'
You say, 'Where is the second dagger?'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'A foulness. Plagued and wicked. A bringer of rot. It sprawls the badlands. Find him there, this rotbringer. Beware his ally.'
Note: Kiera's Parrying Dagger will only drop off of Goldon Rotbringer if you or someone else in your group is flagged up to this point in the quest. If flagged up to this point, when entering his house's outer walls 3 adds should spawn, one dark blue con a plague-wracked terror to lvl 65 and 2 light blue a shambling abomination con to lvl 65. Kill these adds and then kill Goldon Rotbringer.

Gather and give Dawn Seer Tarnok:

  • Kiera's Dagger of Fate
  • Kiera's Parrying Dagger
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'Indeed. This is it. The evil on them... this is not hers. These are truly binding her here. <Player Name> are you ready to go all the way? This is deeper and more sinister than you can possibly know. But we must go forward.'

Your journal has been updated. [Roses of Judgment]

Journal Text: I have returned the weapons to the Orc Seer, it appears I have one more task left to do...
You say, 'I am ready for anything.'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'I know. I have seen my end <Player Name>. I don't believe I will survive this next encounter. But I will go forward without fear. We must perform a purifying ritual on her arms, and return them to her. But the forces that have acted against you so far, will continue to do so. Bring help, you cannot stand against the cold darkness alone. Find me in the Sundered Mountains, I shall be by the great falls.'

Your journal has been updated. [Roses of Judgment]

Journal Text: The seers words are haunting... I must go to the waterfall in the Sundered Mountains, and prepare myself for the purification.

Final Fight

Travel to the northern most point of the river in Sundered Mountains.

Find a dawn tribe orc (The Oasis  •) .

You say, 'Hail, a dawn tribe orc'
Upon closer inspection you recognize this orc to be the Dawn Seer!
You say, 'Hail, Dawn Seer Tarnok'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'The Taldorians were kind to bring me this far, but I could not let them stay. It is far to dangerous. I am glad that I came here. If I must die, this is a fine place for it. And for a fine cause.'
You say, 'I won't let that happen.'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'Believe yourself a storm breaker of sorts <Player Name>? Between us, I too hope you won't let my death occur. We shall see. Are you prepared?'
You say, 'Start the purification.'
Dawn Seer Tarnok begins to chant, holding the weapons up to the waterfall...
Dawn Seer Tarnok is chanting. 'Yu Mo Gui Gui Fie Di Sow... Yu Mo Gui Gui Fie Di Sow'
Something is coming up the river!

Kill the wave of undead.

Dawn Seer Tarnok is still chanting. 'Oh hmmmmmmmmmmm... Ya hmmmmmmmmmm'

Kill the wave of undead.

Dawn Seer Tarnok is still chanting. 'Pure eye fie.... don't ask why.... Pure eye fie'

Kill the wave of undead.

Dawn Seer Tarnok smashes the vessel against the rocks! 'She will be angry and resist the cleansing. It is not her fault! Keep her from killing us, but do not kill her. This is her last chance, if you kill her here, you've damned her for eternity! I shall continue the ritual!'
Dawn Seer Tarnok shouts, 'Something... terribly twisted is coming...'

Kill the wave of undead, but do not kill Kiera D'unteraux.

Dawn Seer Tarnok shouts, 'It is almost complete! But... SHE is almost here as well!'

Kill the wave of undead, but do not kill Kiera D'unteraux.

Temptation, Daughter of Dis shouts, 'Ugh! I swear... I'll have my revenge one day. You will be my finest puppet.'
Temptation, Daughter of Dis fades back into dreams...
Dawn Seer Tarnok shouts, 'Kiera! You are bound! <Player Name>, come take the purifed arms from me! Give them to the spirit! End her suffering!'
You say, 'Hail, Dawn Seer Tarnok'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'Take these and give them to Kiera! She won't stay held for long.'

You receive Kiera's Purified Arms from Dawn Seer Tarnok.

Give Kiera D`unteraux:

  • Kiera's Purified Arms
Kiera D`unteraux for a second, hatred flares in her eyes, and a cold rage begins to swell around you. Just as quickly, it fades away...
You say, 'Hail, Kiera D`unteraux'
No words are exchanged, but deeply thankful smile is given. Kiera and Grant fade away...
You say, 'Hail, Dawn Seer Tarnok'
Dawn Seer Tarnok says, 'It is complete... her soul is free from the corruption that held it. What you have done, is pure and remarkable. I am glad to have been a part of it. You should return to your friends in the City of Mercy and report back everything. I shall find my way back home when I have recovered a bit.'

Find Althuna the Healing Hand (City of Mercy  • Top of arena) .

You say, 'Hail, Althuna, The Healing Hand'
Althuna, The Healing Hand says, 'I don't understand... my sacrifice... the pain I've endured. Yet the sickness runs free. How can this be..'
Althuna, The Healing Hand says, 'What you have done is the greatest gift you could have given to me. To save a soul, so corrupted and twisted by evil, to never give up on them no matter what stood in your way... to uphold my ideals and beliefs in the face of persecution and hatred from your peers... You have proven a true champion of my order. A hero of the common people. <Player Name>, I thank you for saving a soul. I would like to reward you properly. Give me your Insignia.'

Give Althuna the Healing Hand:

  • Lieutenant's Insignia
Althuna, The Healing Hand says, '<Player Name>, you are now a Captain of the Healing Hand. If you would like a different Insignia, return it to me, and I shall re-empower it. If ever Dalaya is in peril, I shall call upon you to lead us to victory. Stand proud this day, but stand vigilant. It is time to give me the full report.'

You receive Captain's Insignia of Althuna from Althuna, The Healing Hand.

You gain 100,000 experience!!

[Alignment Shift: +5 Good, +5 Lawful]

You have completed a quest. [Roses of Judgment]

Journal Text: It is done. I have saved Kiera, and maybe made the world a bit better a place. Yet there are still loose ends... I wonder if I'll ever know the whole story. For now though, I think its time for a little bit of rest.
You say, '[Give all the details of your trials.]'
Althuna, The Healing Hand says, 'This shade you mention... it is no natural thing. This is literally an open act of war by someone against us. The question is who. The Temptation women you mention is clearly an agent of Marlow, yet I do not believe that she could be acting alone in this. I have suspicions about Shojar as well, as such a convoluted plot stinks of his manipulation. Yet the shade itself seems to strike me as something more Gradalsh... we just don't know enough to act. Perhaps one day we will figure out the whole story, and not just our small piece of it. For now rest easy Captain <Player Name>. You have earned it.'
