Mistwood and Bows

Bowmaking is a skill very similar to arrowmaking, and can be almost as rewarding!

For bows, there are many fancy gidgets and gadgets that some people want on their bow, but with a proper bowstaff, they are nothing more than ornaments that look ridiculous.

What makes a proper staff for a bow, you ask? To that I say that Mistwood is the only material that makes a proper bowstaff. for those of you who have not heard of this Mistwood, I offer you a story.

Years ago, the Ruins of the First City were overtaken by followers of Sivyana and Tharhyl, expelling the resident earth elementals and ratmen. The earth elementals have not been seen again, but the ratmen found a new in the Mistwoods. For years, they occupied fallen trees there, but only recently did a few adventurers find out that the ratmen had discovered such a perfect wood for bowmaking! We don't know however, why they are harvesting Mistwood since they never use bows ...

Anyway, making a bow is simply a matter of getting a good Mistwood Bow Staff and a bowstring. Stringing the bow can be difficult, but that depends on the quality of the string. Master your skill with arrows, and making bows of Mistwood will be effortless!
