You say, 'Hail, Taroceth the Decaying'
Taroceth the Decaying tells you, 'Ah, another has come to Taroceth seeking the ways of the plague. I too have come to these lands to study the corruption in them. The plagues in the creatures of these lands are powerful ally to the Cult of Entropy - one we must not allow to go unharnessed. Do you understand, then? We must learn to use the corruption to our advantage.'
You say, 'Yes! I too wish to corrupt the pure.'
Taroceth the Decaying tells you, 'Good, then I welcome you to gather and learn of the corruption. Before we can learn, however, we must take a moment to address a growing issue - the efforts of the fools of Newport and Surefall to hunt down and kill corrupted animals to keep the corruption from spreading. Recently a group of rangers from Surefall arrived and began hunting the animals, taking their blood for their own studies. I want them dealt with. Bring me the heads of four of those fools that you will find in this region. Go!

Gather and give four Ranger's Head to Taroceth the Decaying.

You gain 5000 experience!!

Taroceth the Decaying tells you, 'Good, very good. Now we can continue with our own studies unimpeded. Wait... someone approaches!'

Priestess Andrenia and two a surefall ranger spawn. Kill them before they kill Taroceth the Decaying.

Taroceth the Decaying says, 'Hah! They stood no chance... entropy is a powerful tool, friend. Listen, if you wish to learn more, then speak to me again.
You say, 'Hail, Taroceth the Decaying'
Taroceth the Decaying tells you, 'They were fools to think that there was even a miniscule chance of defeating our power. Now then, with the do-gooders out of the way, you should seek out natives of these lands to learn more of the corruption. Perhaps they will teach us what is it we must know to fully harness its power: an elder leader of the Kargyxx of the Badlands, a priestess of the gnolls of Starfall, and the leader of a dejected Centaur tribe who has taken up in the hills to the west - near the city of Newport.'

You gain 2500 experience!!

Find an elder leader of the Kargyxx Mazik Windweaver (Southern Badlands  at -6662, 1043, 164).

You say, 'Hail, Mazik Windweaver'
Mazik Windweaver says, 'Welcome, wanderer, to the home of the Kargyxx. I am Mazik, the Windweaver. You are free to use our shelter or seek what supplies we can offer. As long as you leave us in peace, we leave you in peace. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for our misguided Tarxan cousins.'
You say, 'I come to learn of the corruption.'
Mazik Windweaver tells you, 'The corruption is a dreadful thing, young <Player Race>. It claims so many of my people... not even in our city are we completely safe. I see it sometimes, small, almost transparent shadows that hunt, hunt and seek for beings to touch, to merge with, to corrupt. I know not what these things are, but they must be creatures of a grave evil indeed.'
You have learned of the corruption from the kargyxx.

Find a priestess of the gnolls A gnoll priestess (Lake Starfall) (Lake Starfall  at 239, 2179, 58).

You say, 'Hail, a gnoll priestess'
a gnoll priestess says, 'Bark! Hail, <Player Name>! Please come to our village in peace, it is our way. Do not mistake us for our cousins in the depths of the Maw, or the violent plaguewind that roam the badlands.'
You say, 'I come to learn of the corruption.'
a gnoll priestess tells you, 'Bark! The plague came before the corruption. It killed the animals, leaving, I think, only those with such minds that they fell easily to the corruption that followed. While the plague drove my people insane, and killed thousands of creatures, the corruption was even worse. 'The corruption comes at night', the sick ones would scream in their feverish ravings, 'comes at the fall of night to seek and infect'. This lake is thankfully free of the corrupted, so I know nothing else.'
You have learned of the corruption from the gnolls of Starfall.

Find the leader of a dejected centaur tribe Helleron of the Plains (Centaur Hills  at 4985, 765).

You say, 'Hail, Helleron of the Plains'
Helleron of the Plains says, 'Hrrm. Please do not disturb us, <Player Race>. We have had enough of strangers lately.'
You say, 'I come to learn of the corruption.'
Helleron of the Plains tells you, 'To my shame, I have been unable to discover much about the corruption that claimed nearly my entire people. You see, at the beginning, when only a few centaurs were being corrupted, we locates certain sites - old ruins, mystic standing stones, and similar areas - which they had strayed near at the time. As we went to investigate these areas, however, we were set upon by undead guardians, horrible spectres that we were unable to fight. These guardians were not the facilitators of the corruption, I believe, but the protectors of it. If there is any place the corruption is coming from, it is these guarded sites.'
You have learned of the corruption from the centaur.

Return to Taroceth the Decaying.

You say, 'Hail, Taroceth the Decaying'
Taroceth the Decaying tells you, 'You've learned of the natives of these lands and their past experiences with the corruption, and the knowledge you bring me of the shades is important. These shades, they are crucial to the corruption here ... I must research them further so as to understand how to strengthen their power. For now, we are done, but you may return at a later time and assist my efforts, should you still desire to see corruption's spread. Entropy walk with you, <Player Name>!'

Nevertheless, Kaezul is someone of great power... you have learned of his legion and that they are merely people like yourself, and you have also learned of his plagues and how he has touched the lands of Dalaya. Now you should learn of Kaezul himself, what he looks like, and how he acts.'
