You say, 'Hail, Finna McThompson'

Finna McThompson sobs quietly to herself, ignoring you.

You say, 'Why are you crying? Can I help?'

Finna McThompson startles, wipes her eyes and looks towards you, 'I am never going to get it back. The fish has won.

You say, 'The fish has... won?'

Finna McThompson says, 'My husband was killed in the last Kaezulian war. After food became scarce for my family, I started to fish in the lake to help support us while the children were asleep. My father passed me down this fishing spear, you see. But one day... the biggest fish you ever saw jumped out of the water, and bit off the tip of my ring finger. And worst of all, my wedding ring. I would do anything to get it back...'

You say, 'What would it take to get it back?'

Finna McThompson says, 'Local fishermen call the mutated fanged monster Icetooth. It only comes out at night, and even then only rarely. I sit here every night, spear in hand, waiting for a chance to get my revenge and with luck my ring. It has been years without luck. If you were to see Icetooth while transvering the waters at night, I would give anything to have it killed.'

You say, 'I will keep an eye out, and handle Icetooth for you if I see him.'

Finna McThompson says, 'I am so happy to hear that, <Player Name>. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Although hope fades by the day.'

Find and kill Icetooth (NPC) (Halas  • Bottom of the lake) . Loot Tarnished Wedding Ring and give it to Finna McThompson.

Note: Though the quest dialog hints at it spawning at night, it has been found in the lake in the day time as well, which may be a bug.

Finna McThompson says, 'You got it! My wedding ring!' Tears spring to her eyes. 'Thank you so much, <Player Name>. I wish I had more to give you... but here. Take my fishing spear. I have no more use for it.'

You receive Dull Ancient Harpoon.
