Find Glamrer (Southern Newport at 382, -595, 3 • Small house close to the bank) .
You say, 'Hail, Glamrer'
Glamrer says, 'Who are you? If Bailron sent you you can get out of my house now and go tell him I refuse to pay any more than we had already agreed!
You say, 'I have no idea who you're talking about.'
Glamrer says,' 'Oh, he didn't send you? Well, it's just as well, I'm furious at him and his greed.'
You say, 'Greed, eh?'
Glamrer says,'Indeed. I am Glamrer, maker of the finest shields available in Newport. Bailron used to supply me with cured mammoth hides of such quality other tanners could only dream of. They are vital in the crafting of my shields, but now he demands more money for them than I can afford.'
You say, 'What do you mean by that?'
Glamrer says,'We had a contract, but Bailron has gone back on it, giving me some feeble excuse about some mammoth killer driving the prices up. If I can't come to some agreement with him, I'll go out of business, but he is so stubborn.'
You say, 'Who is the mammoth killer?'
Glamrer says, 'You'd have to ask him about that, but I don't believe a word of it. All I know is that he owes me a shipment, as per this contract, and I need someone to make him deliver.
You say, 'Sounds interesting. Need any help?'
Glamrer says, 'Sure! Take this order form to Bailron out in the Everfrost tundra and make sure he delivers!'
You receive Order Form from Glamrer.
Give Order Form to Bailron (Everfrost at 2845, -3442 • Northern edge in the large ruins before reaching the first arm of the frozen river) .
Bailron says, 'How many times must I explain the situation Glamrer? Hides are so hard to come by I simply cannot afford to sell this low. I'm afraid your time has been wasted....'
You say, 'Uh, I'm out of the loop. Fill me in.'
Bailron says, 'As is supplying Glamrer wasn't difficult enough, between gnoll raids on the caravans and actually having to kill the mammoths for the hides, now some great beast is slaughtering the mammoths before I can get to them!'
You gain 500 experience!!!
You say, 'A great beast?'
Bailron says, 'Aye, surely Glamrer told you of it? Well it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't, he's always been skeptical, but it's true, I swear! Seen it with my own eyes, a snow leopard twice as big as any other and four times as mean. If someone doesn't slay it soon, I'll need to find a new career.'
You say, 'Don't worry, it's as good as dead.'
Bailron says, 'You'd do that? Well I have nothing to offer you in return, but if you bring me it's head along with four mammoth hides, I can give you the first shipment to take to Glamrer who will no doubt give you one of his prized shields for you trouble. The Mammoth hides must be stored in this container, and combined, before I can work with them.'
You receive Mammoth Hide Box from Bailron.
Gather four Mammoth Hide and combine in Mammoth Hide Box.
Gather Fearsome Snow Leopard Head and give it and the combined Full Mammoth Hide Box to Bailron.
Bailron says, 'I cannot thank you enough... Here are the hides for you to deliver to Glamrer, and tell him no hard feelings for me, eh?'
You gain 2000 experience!!
You receive Cured Mammoth Hides from Bailron.
Bailron returned Full Mammoth Hide Box to you.
Give Glamrer the Cured Mammoth Hides and Full Mammoth Hide Box.
Glamrer says, 'Wow! You Managed to sort things out with Bailron? This is marvelous news. As a reward for your help, please take on of my shields. May it serve you as well as you have served me.'
You gain 2500 experience.
You receive Shield of the Mammoth from Glamrer.
