You find Defender Natlthos or Defender Ordland in the Mistwoods zone near the Erudin entrance. He asks for your help in collecting some Hardened Scarab Shells to help them improve their armor.

The maximum number of turn-ins for this bounty quest is 6.

Find Defender Nalthos (Mistwoods  • Just outside of Erudin) .

You say, 'Hail, Defender Nalthos'

Defender Nalthos says, 'Well met, (class). I am Defender Nalthos, protector of the city of Erudin. I have work for adventurers, perhaps you are interested?

You say, 'I am interested.'

Defender Nalthos says, 'Very good, the tasks at hand will require you to journey throughout the Mistwoods, forcing you to encounter many types of evils.'

You say, 'What are these evils?'

Defender Nalthos says, 'While the first task does not require you to face an enemy of Erudin, we do need you to gather some shells for us. As well, there are kobold and bandit situations I would like addressed immediately.'

You say, 'What kind of shells do you need?'

Defender Ordlan says, 'As we continue to improve upon our quality of equipment, we seek to discover the best possible protection in our armor. As such, we would like to study the properties of the hardened scarab shells which house the scarabs that roam the Mistwoods. Gather two such shells and return them to me for payment and increased standing within Erudin.'

Give two Hardened Scarab Shells to Defender Nalthos.

Defender Nalthos says, 'Hmm, yes. A job well done, (name). Here is your payment, on behalf of the Erudin Defenders.'
