Find Anchorite Felvyn (Zenn Malath  at -447, 2, 134  • Inside the monk guild) .

You say, 'Hail, Anchorite Felvyn'
Anchorite Felvyn says, Hail, young one. Another new recruit? How humbling to see our way of life gaining traction among our kind. I never imagined the Anchorage of Malath would be so prosperous when my husband and I laid its foundation. But enough about me. You must be here to claim a habit. From the greenest tadpole to eldest anchorite, we at the anchorage are rarely seen without them.'
You say, 'What is a habit?'
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'A habit is the traditional garb of a Taldorian Monk. Its color is plain, its fabric simple, but these are its greatest assets, for they signify the modest lifestyle we lead. While others don shining armor and vibrant robes, we Monks shun such distractions so that we may remain focused on the Master and his teachings. As a new recruit, your habit will bear the mark of a tadpole until you are ready to advance in rank. Tell me, young one, are you ready to wear the guild garb?'
You say, 'I am'
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'Then take this notice to Muglynn, the local seamstress. She may cut an imposing figure, but that Ogre has a touch as light as a fairy's when it comes to sewing. In fact, she fills all the guild's tailoring orders. Return to me when you've got your habit. I'd like to see how it suits you.'

You receive Notice of Anchorage Recruitment.

Find Muglynn the Seamstress (Zenn Malath  at -351, -82, 132  • Eastern-most structure near the monk guild) .

Give Notice of Anchorage Recruitment to Muglynn the Seamstress.

Muglynn the Seamstress says, 'What's this, dear?'
The Ogress squints at the notice, mumbling to herself.
Muglynn the Seamstress says, 'Oh, so the anchorage has another member among its ranks. Felvyn and Pogwog must be doing something right to keep attracting so many followers. You're in luck. I just finished sewing one of these earlier today. Just a moment, please.'
She rummages through her belongings.
Muglynn the Seamstress mumbles, 'I know it's in here somewhere...'
Muglynn the Seamstress says, 'Aha!'

You receive Tadpole's Habit.

Find Anchorite Felvyn (Zenn Malath  at -447, 2, 134  • Inside the monk guild) .

You will need to equip your Tadpole's Habit to progress further.

You say, 'Hail, Anchorite Felvyn
The guildmistress looks you over with with an approving smile.
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'Congratulations, <Player Name>. You are now a full-fledged tadpole in our guild. Of course, yours is but one of five ranks in our guildhall: tadpole, pupil, elder, scholar, and anchorite. As a member of the entry rank, your only duty for now is to adjust to your chosen path of monkhood. When you have grown in your class studies, then we may speak of your moving up in the guild.'
You say, 'What should I do first?'
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'We're each the author of our own story. Lead your life as you see fit so long as you keep Malath in your heart. But if you must have guidance, perhaps you might begin by speaking to Anchorite Pogwog under the Great Tree about claiming a guild weapon if you haven't already. You may also want to hone your martial arts under Martialist Klipk, whom you'll find around the back of the anchorage. Beyond that, get to know your fellow townsfolk, including those outside the guild. Perhaps they have tasks befitting a tadpole such as you.'

You gain 250 experience!!

You cannot progress further in the quest until you are at least level 10 and have at least one skill point in Tiger Claw.

You say, 'Hail, Anchorite Felvyn'
'Greetings, tadpole. I trust you're devoting time to your class studies. What can I do for you?'
You say, 'I believe I am ready to advance in rank.'
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'Hmm. Yes, you do seem ready to earn the title of pupil, Cyclog. In order to prove yourself worthy, you must complete a challenge. Are you prepared to hear that challenge?'
You say, 'I am prepared, anchorite.'
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'In the ruins to the northeast live toothy, brainless creatures called terrors. We strive to live in balance with them despite their grotesque form, but lately, one has far outgrown the rest. Already, its sheer size has forced it to live at the outskirts of the ruins. If not dealt with soon, this terror, whom some call Alabaster, may encroach on Zenn Malath. I fear our only recourse is to put a swift end to the being. Thus, I ask that you find this Alabaster, give it a noble death, and return its marble heart to me. Do this and a pupil you shall be.'

Find Alabaster (Zenn Malath  at -5, -415, 96  • South end of the ruins) and kill it. You will have 'Enlarged Heart of Marble auto placed in your hand when it dies.

Find Anchorite Felvyn (Zenn Malath  at -447, 2, 134  • Inside the monk guild) and hand him Enlarged Heart of Marble.

Anchorite Felvyn says, 'You've done well, <Player Name>. With this act, you've shown you are a tadpole no more. Henceforth, you shall be a pupil of the Anchorage of Malath. Take this notice and your habit to Muglynn. She'll make the necessary alterations to signify your new rank.'

You receive Notice of Anchorage Advancement (Pupil).

Find Muglynn the Seamstress (Zenn Malath  at -351, -82, 132  • Eastern-most structure near the monk guild) .

Give Notice of Anchorage Advancement (Pupil) and Tadpole's Habit to Muglynn the Seamstress.

Muglynn the Seamstress says, 'Aren't you the quick study, little one? Already a pupil! Allow me just a moment to alter your habit.'
The Ogress threads a needle and, with a wink, blows on it. The thread glows faintly as she begins sewing a new patch onto the habit.
Muglynn the Seamstress says, 'Here you are. It may not look so different to the untrained eye, but your guildmates will know your new rank at once. Wear it well, dear.'

You receive Pupil's Habit.

Equip Pupil's Habit and find Anchorite Felvyn (Zenn Malath  at -447, 2, 134  • Inside the monk guild) .

You say, 'Hail, Anchorite Felvyn'
The guildmistress looks you over with with an approving smile.
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'Muglynn did a fine job with the alterations, didn't she? As a pupil, you will be expected to continue to work toward mastery of the early skills of monkhood. At the same time, you'll also take your first foray into intermediate skills, including Block, Double Attack, and perhaps the most vital skill to our class, Feign Death. Go forth and continue to gain experience as a pupil of the anchorage and let us speak again when you're ready for the next rank.'

You gain 5000 experience!!

To progress further you must be at least level 20 and have at least 1 skill point in Eagle Strike.

You say, 'Hail, Anchorite Felvyn'
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'How fares your studying, pupil? I trust you're not neglecting your training in the skills we discussed. What can I do for you?'
You say, 'I believe I am ready to advance in rank.'
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'I do see a twinkle of wisdom in your eye that wasn't there when first you donned the Pupil's Habit. I believe you're fit to earn the title of scholar, <Player Name>. In order to prove yourself worthy, you must complete a challenge. Are you prepared to hear that challenge?'
You say, 'I am prepared, anchorite.'
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'In the distant heart of the so-called Old World lies a great body of water known as Lake Starfall. A band of crafters have settled there, recreating artifacts of yesteryear for intermediate adventurers in an effort to preserve knowledge. Their goddess, Jayla, has little in common with the Master, but their emphasis on history and wisdom is something from which a scholar of the anchorage could learn much. Your task is this: Find the Monk scholar among these crafters, help her to recreate two such artifacts, and return to me wearing them as proof of the deed. Do this and a scholar you shall be.'

Gather Headband of Visions and Fistwraps of the Flame. Then equip both and return to Anchorite Felvyn (Zenn Malath  at -447, 2, 134  • Inside the monk guild) .

You say, 'Hail, Anchorite Felvyn'
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'Are these them? The artifacts created by the Monk crafter in Lake Starfall? Come closer. I would see them up close.'
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'These fistwraps look sturdy indeed. I can see their appeal among our Human and Iksar brethren. And she said this headband was worn by a freedom fighter in the slave wars? How appropriate that such an item should be worn nearest the mind. You've done well, <Player Name>. With this act, you've risen above the pupil's station. Henceforth, you shall be a scholar of the Anchorage of Malath. Take this notice and your habit to Muglynn. She'll make the necessary alterations to signify your new rank.'

You receive Notice of Anchorage Advancement (Scholar).

Give Muglynn the Seamstress (Zenn Malath  at -351, -82, 132  • Eastern-most structure near the monk guild) Notice of Anchorage Advancement (Scholar) and Pupil's Habit.

Muglynn the Seamstress says, 'Another promotion so soon? You must show promise. Allow me just a moment to alter your habit.'
The Ogress threads a needle and, with a wink, blows on it. The thread glows faintly as she begins sewing a new patch onto the habit.
She hums a little working tune as she finishes the alterations.
Muglynn the Seamstress says, 'Here you are. That little patch can make a big difference, I think you'll find. Wear it well, dear.'

You receive Scholar's Habit.

Equip Scholar's Habit and go back to and hail Anchorite Felvyn.

The guildmistress looks you over with with an approving smile.
Anchorite Felvyn says, 'You truly carry yourself with the air of a scholar. As such, you will be expected to continue to work toward mastery of the intermediate skills of monkhood. At the same time, you'll also need to work toward learning the advanced skills of the class, including Dragon Punch, Disarm, and Flying Kick. Go forth and continue to gain experience as a scholar of the anchorage and let us speak again when you're ready for the next rank.'

You gain Unknown experience!!

To continue must be level 35 and have at least 1 skill point in Riposte.
